Thank you Andrew Luck!

A little late but if it wasn't for Andrew Luck skipping the 2011 NFL Draft "rumors were he didn't want to play in Carolina", we wouldn't have drafted Cameron Newton with the #1 pick.

8 years later Cam Newton is the franchise first NFL MVP and led us to a Superbowl appearance. Meanwhile Andrew Luck had a hot start to his career in which many thought he was the future face of the NFL, now his career has been question with injuries and not many wins for his team.

Remember when people thought Andrew Luck (even our own fans at the time) would be better than Cam Newton. Funny how things can be so wrong.

Thank you Andrew Luck!

Luck massively fuged up his shoulder ~3 years ago. Hard to compare his career to what might have been in Carolina, given that a chance injury has massively derailed his development.

That said, he was definitely overrated before that, and certainly is now as well, perhaps even more so.

You chose to post this on a day when Luck had 4 TDs, put up 34 points?

Besides Russell Wilson, Luck has had one of the weakest supporting casts on offense the last 3 or 4 seasons, and not a defense to speak of.

This reeks of insecurity.  If you really didn't consider Luck a threat to Cam's legacy, posting something like this would never have crossed your mind.

4 TD's and 34 points vs the 0-3 Texans and which the Colts loss the game. LMAO!

Cam Newton>Andrew Luck

Deal with it!

I'm baffled that you can unironically type this up after all the rants you've made about DJ Moore.

Cam is on a team with a defense, but if you look at his receivers, its probably a worse group overall than Luck's or Wilson.

Yeah you guys sound really secure about your ranking of Luck vs Cam with all these posts constantly reaffirming it the last few years, even on days luck puts up 4+ TDs and more points than Carolina all season, lmao.

Don't see these same threads for Andy Dalton

I take Cam because availability is the best ability, but Luck is an elite QB and if you don't take into account injury history and prefer a more traditional pocket passer with impeccable accuracy while still having a good degree of mobility, it doesn't bother me.

You guys lol

One person made a thread. And if Luck is  "elite" in your eyes, I really don't want to see the rest of your elite list

    • It's not only about the draft spots, the scheduling is a huge factor. We already have a tough 2026 schedule by playing the North divisions, that's possibly 7 playoff contenders there and a few true SB contenders between the Lions, Packers, Vikings, Bears, Ravens, Bengals, and Steelers (Browns will still suck lol), while also pulling the AFC West for the 17th game. Let's just say for the sake of argument we are going to be true contenders in 2026 in both scenarios Would you rather go 9-8 and to make the playoffs as the last WC or worst division winner, lose in the first round and then have to add likely the Eagles/Commanders, 49ers/Rams, and Chiefs/Chargers to an already tough schedule because we have a 1st/2nd round finish this year, while picking 19th in the draft (where the worst playoff team picks) or Or lose an extra game to finish 8-9, while ending up in 3rd (obviously need Falcons/Bucs to get a WC spot) and miss the playoffs, but then get to add likely the Cowboys/Giants, Seahawks/Cardinals, Broncos/Raiders to the schedule while picking 13th in the draft (the highest an 8-9 team picked this year). I can understand why some people would just want to go to the playoffs again, and I can't fault that thinking.  But I'm always a bigger picture person and looking at what is best for the future of the franchise and winning a SB, not my immediate feelings that game/season.   So I'm taking those 3 SIGNIFICANTLY easier games and the 6 better draft spots. If we're a true contender in 2026, those 3 games based on divisional finish could very well be the difference of a 1 vs whatever seed.  Right now the top teams in the NFC are the teams who play in places you don't want to have road playoff games at... GB, Detroit, Philly are some of the toughest stadiums to play in, especially if cold weather games for the outdoors ones.  Give me the few extra easier games to hopefully make the difference in getting home field advantage. Making the playoffs to just lose in the first round isn't worth the first scenario to me when the alternative is losing maybe one or two more games while looking better while doing so.  I can stomach those extra losses in a much improved season when it's for the betterment of our future.
    • We also watched Cam take Carolina to the SB but how much did his career change when he went to the Pats? See how that works? You create a post just to rag on player on another team just because you hate. You love to do this stuff. I've seen it for a few years. You are one of the main problems on this site. Not just y0u but you're definitely one of them. This topic should be in the nfl general chat. As a mod I would think you would understand that but no. The mods need mods around here.  This is for Panther's material. Can a real mod move this thread to it's proper place please?
