Can't blame Thomas at all for feeling that way.

The NFL somehow continues to successfully pit certain gullible meathead fans against players like Thomas or Bell who are labeled "greedy" while the owners continually pocket the bulk.

Lol Being good enough to hold a clipboard sets you for life in the NFL hard to feel sorry for multi millionaires.

i mean they could have gotten a hell of a trade for him and now they get nothing and will keep paying him to rehab until his contract expires. both sides are losers in this because the seahawks lacked foresight and tact.

And perfect hindsight apparently.

didn't he post he was retiring two years ago.... pretty classless to do that to an organization that has set you for life

Not at all they made him the highest paid safety but he still took less than he could've gotten at the time. If they weren't going to give him a new deal and work with the heart of their defense then he should've took them to the cleaners last time he got his extension.

A holdout is a real possibility in 2020, the nflpa  signed it but the players have little to no voice. It's ridiculous that even if he would've finished the season that the seahawks could've tagged a 29 year old disgruntled player for two more seasons.

Donald, Mack, Bell, Thomas, all of these could've ended ugly and two of them did. This is why players should and will continue to hold out. Teams expect players to hold up to their side of the deal when teams rarely do

If the players hold out, it should be for reasons that would benefit the majority of players. Very few players will ever face the possibility of a franchise tag and those who won't would likely happily sign it because it's probably a huge pay raise for them. When Thomas signed his last contract it made him the highest paid safety in the NFL.
