he will not be booed for god sakes noone gives a poo about this kneeing stuff anymore everyone has moved on.

The Packers just apologized for using a red, white and blue banner because it wasn't the American flag. Many people do still care about it.

If Reid decides to kneel you will definitely hear about it from the media and there almost certainly will be some booing. Maybe they won't the first time he does but once it is publicized it will be booed by enough people that you will hear about that from the media too. There will also be many derogatory and likely racist things said about him as well.

It would be wonderful if he wasn't booed but that's just not reality.

That is like the world’s worst advice.

you should never read it. Offers nothing.  Just a distorted fake reality where people let the bad things out they wouldn’t usually have the balls to say in the real world.   Often because they don’t even believe what they say or care.  Just about the nonsense.

This is so true. No matter what issue people discuss or which side of an issue they fall on, ignorance rears its ugly head in a way that a face to face conversation would never allow.

It makes me wish we saved controversial topics for private, in-person conversations. I think everyone in this country would feel more united with his/her fellow Americans if that were the case. I guess an idealist can dream...

That's gonna happen regardless.

Haha no one cares you say?  I hate to break it to you newb but this city, community, and fan base is unfortunately full of bigots and small-minded folk who have put his beliefs and their anger over his beliefs above football.  Not sure how you don't see that, unless you've gone full sarcasm and I missed it.

What effect have Kaepernick and Reid actually had on their issue by kneeling? All it did was get both sides pissed off at each other and start and endless impossible argument

I understand that Huddlers are all about the football and drinking on gameday. But if you're going to continually enter discussions about kneeling protests, either side, you need to pay attention to current events and educate yourselves. I see this question all the time and there are answers. The number of answers grows every day. The argument is not impossible unless you make it so. I do hope it is endless.

Here's the latest from the Players Coalition which Reid mentions as not wanting to associate with because it's associated with the NFL. I don't see association with the NFL as a bad thing; they can throw serious money behind initiatives.

Do not take what I quote here as the majority of this article because it is not. Take 3 minutes to read the whole thing.

Other players have worked to raise awareness of these issues in different ways, although the media still remains hyper-focused on talking about “the anthem.” We have made trips to Capitol Hill, gone on ride-alongs with police officers and held meetings with grassroots organizations, community advocates, public defenders and progressive prosecutors. We have watched bail hearings during which people have been locked up not because they posed a public-safety threat, but because they were too poor to pay their cash bail. And as we learned, we also worked. We lobbied for criminal justice reform in New York, Pennsylvania and Boston, pushed for the restoration of voting rights in Florida and Louisiana, and for prosecutor accountability across the country. We hosted D.A.–candidate forums in multiple states, including California and Missouri. This is just a sampling of what we have done.

i've not heard first take or skip and shannons show talk about any kneeling since the season began and we 4 weeks into it thats a sign that its not an issue anymore cause if it was shows like that would still be milking it for all its worth.

This looks like all the things they've done besides kneeling...

There's no rule, written or unwritten that says that any of us have to suffer your intolerance with tolerance of our own. You have a right to your opinion, and the rest of us have the right to tell you your opinion is bad and or wrong if we choose to. If that hurts your feelings then leave the thread.

Always thought the Golden rule was treat people as you want to be treated not how you are being treated.

If you want to show someone about tolerance you practice it more than preach it. So yeah you do tolerate even the intolerant if you don't want to do the exact thing you accuse someone else of doing.
