That got me called a racist in the game day thread and that pissed me off.  I don’t care what color the QB or the coaches are.  I would have said the same thing.  

If you were called a racist, it's probably because you've been littering thinly veiled drivel about Newton on these forums for the last several years. This wasn't overnight, and you are a grown up. Everything from nitpicking about him celebrating, to questioning his game preparation/work ethic, and even his commitment to football because he did a Nickelodeon show.

Good post.  The mods and owner like the NFL have legislated alot of the people who input actual football knowledge.  I understand there will be opinions because it is a message board, but for a while there people with alot of football x and o knowledge just disappeared.  Some of them right after proving Igo wrong on football knowledge.  You should be able to challenge a little without drawing immediate ire if it is done in a civil way.  Pushing certain narratives as well does get old.  Carson Wentz today called Torrey Smith a magician.  The Eagles head coach said that he can still run and get open citing stats saying that Torrey drew most PI calls in league last year. The board with the direction of Igo acts like he is the worst player to don a Panther uniform.  Yeah he hasn't produced huge numbers, but over thirty threads since training camp have been derailed by Torrey hate.  People do get tired of the repetitiveness and the mob mentality.  Another thing is one word posts I guess to boost numbers.  Also, after a poster provides a well thought out response they are hit with: is that you player I hate, da fug you talking bout, or calling the person an idiot with zero repercussions.  Wait, I've said too much.  If I'm banned carry on.

there can never be true discussion when that discussion is moderated.  people can filter out what they think is relevant or not on their own.  the babysitting and telling others what they should or should not do is for people who cannot handle the truth or an opinion that differs from their own.  with that said, carry on and i'll continue to mostly lurk due to threads like this and the ones who think they are necessary.

Yes, I have absolutely had it with some on the board

there are some things I take very seriously and  will not tolerate and racism is one of them

i have a Cam Newton Jersey. I’m on all his pages. I gave to his foundation. But I’m a racist...good god almighty this place has become a cesspool 

he is a tremendous athlete and a good QB. He could be among the greatest and because of that and the Superman persona, we all, including me, expect too much and criticize too often at times  however sometimes the criticism is fair...even Brady and Rodgers get criticism

Other posters have tried to express these same sentiments as of late, but then toxic posters immediately come in excusing their own behaviour with garbage such as, "You don't have to read the thread," "It's entertaining," "Cam critics are racists," "Rivera is stupid and you're stupid," etc.

Hate to say it, but sometimes a woman's touch is the only thing that will work with some hot heads, but at least it shows there is some sense/decency on their parts then.

It's not that anyone needs to "like" the board or should be "happy" with everything. It's a football discussion fan board not a kumbaya gathering. btw your rambling wasn't half bad. ;)

Not going to happen in life.  I do appreciate intelligent constructive discussion about the good stuff and bad.  Next time you post ...please ask if it meets that criteria.  We need to lift this place back up.  The legacy of this team has some real substance.  I want that to be our reputation here too.

I just feel that if the coaches and the fans can embrace who we are, what we're best at the NFL will be in trouble. Chudstyle designed runs for Cam to get him going. Using McCaffrey and Anderson as a one two punch. Anderson is our goal line type back, SMH.

I get frustrated too but we've got a great roster, great rookie talent, a road grading o-line. Embrace the fact that maybe these guys on the o-line are better at run blocking especially when #67 is in the game.

STOP trying to make this year's team into something they're not. You've got a bunch of RB's on offense including your DE sized QB. This offense is filled with all these hybrid, unorthodox, dynamic players, embrace it. Be it.
