Why isn't Taylor Moton playing left tackle?

There was always the chance that Kalil was going to get his job back anyway.

From his own statements, I think he feels pretty confident he's getting his job back. Whether or not that confidence is warranted, I guess we'll see.

Oh no. I haven’t read any comments of his, but I don’t like the sound of that. He needs to have to earn it back. Or at least think he does. This is not going to end well.

Is it really that difficult for you to grasp the idea that some of us watch, and read, about teams other than the Panthers? And that we have some idea what we are talking about. Yet you are free to have your opinion etched in stone.

Oh, and you have now added condescension to your list of questionable debate tactics. This subject must be uber important to you, for you to have to go to all these lengths to get your opinion validated.

LOL

That's Scot's m.o., and I've told him the same thing when he and I have gotten into it. He doesn't like other people to disagree with him. Me? Disagree all you want, just do it in a respectful manner.

I know the official party line on this question. I just don't buy it, especially after watching and rewatching that final series from last week. I gotta believe Moton anchoring the left on those plays gives us a lot better chance of scoring.

If the answer is that Chis Clark is just keeping Matt Kalil's seat warm, well...:poison:

I am a bit confused about that as well--but I think Moton is more comfortable with RT--just a guess--but he is  the LT of the future.  Clark has done better than Kalil, but worse than Moton.  Can Clark even play RT?  Dunno.

I read a lot in this thread... maybe i missed it.... but has it not crossed anyone's mind that Moton is our RT because typically the best DL on the opposing team is the LE....

Moton on the right is a matchup scheme, allow our best lineman to take out their best d-lineman.

The other issue is that your right tackle is historically the Mauler type guy who is a road grader. It is likely that the belief is that a right side combo of Turner and Moton would be better in run blocking than Turner and Clark although the stats from Football outsiders doesn't tell us much given 3/4 of our runs are between the guards.

I would've liked Moton to stay on LT and let Clark or Newhouse play RT, but looks like Rivera may move him back and forth, stunting his growth each time.

Just for clarification. How often has Rivera moved him back, and forth? I just want to know if we are watching the same thing. Cuz from where I am sitting, your statement is not really true. Because Moton has a whopping 2 games at LT. But hey, that stunting his growth thingy was a nice touch.
