That might be the ugliest win ever

What better team is there? I mean the Saints are basically winning the same way we are. The whole league this year is just a mess and luck has been a important thing.

Do you want to go into the playoffs counting on "Any Given Sunday"?

I'd much rather feel confident in our team.

If we are honest, this team isn’t good enough to go anywhere important this year in the playoffs, I didn’t think that even before the training camp injuries. We just are not in the Rams league. And you could argue the saints either as much as I’d hate to say it.

To beat either of those teams we will need to be playing a lot better on either Offense or defense. Defense is what it is imo. Offense has potential to be very good and shows flashes like the 4th quarter today and against the Bengals. But until they start to show consistency we are going to be in for a long day against either of those two teams.

too much age at key positions. Today we beat a good team and it’s a good win that I honesty didn’t expect. So I’m going to enjoy the wins while we get them and hope a youth movement in the offseason helps us get over the hump next year.

this year isn’t the Super bowl team year. Success to me this year for this team is just getting to the playoffs and having a winning season. Anything else is gravy.

IMO, the Redskins game was uglier.  Mainly because I think turnovers, penalties and things of that sort are what make a game ugly.  I believe that a lot of our problem today was that the Philly defense played very well, but then changed their style, or maybe their intensity, and we were able to take advantage of it.

I thought our defense played fairly well, except for the 95 yard drive.  Offense finally woke up in the fourth.

Special teams had its third bad day in a row.  That could be a problem.

One thing nobody seems to be talking about. Philly was up 17-0, they had just scored a TD, like 11 minutes left on the clock, we were struggling big time, and they were dancing on the field before the KO. Even the guys on SNF mentioned it.

The sideline must have seen it. Because we scored the next 21 points.

We have had 2 Big Time Wins in the last 3 weeks. Man, I hope this could signal a big upturn going forward.

We CAN beat the better teams,..

whether Ron lets Norv play Cam as he did in the 4th quarter or during the first 3 quarters will decide whether we do,.....

Now that I'm thinking about it... this win reminds me a lot of the one over the Seahawks in 2015 that kind of really changed how we felt about the team.

That team was 4-0 heading into the game as opposed to 3-2, but they were arguably the same quality up to that point.  We almost lost to the Luke McCown led Saints and barely got past the Ryan Mallett led Texans.  So it wasn't pretty early in the season, as per usual with the Panthers.  Then we went into Seattle and on a superb game winning drive, FINALLY overcame the demon we'd never been capable of defeating (Seahawks always beat us until then).

This win feels like it gave us that same kind of momentum.  There were times where if the Panthers were down by more than 1 score in the 4th, you knew the game was over.  Not anymore.  I think this team will play with 2015-level confidence the rest of the season.
