Definite No. Tyrod may have been the best Bills QB of the last decade but he would be a poor replacement if Cam is out. Plus we can't even afford him as others stated.

Why?? Tyron sucks.. we have Heinicke!! He played well in preseason and training camp.. hopefully Cam stays healthy but I like Heinicke.. Tyrol isn’t an improvement!! Crap he was supposed to save Cleveland to develop Mayfield!! Now we should sign him!! Lol

I loath the thought of that happening strictly for an opinion I dare not mention.  But Kap would probably be the best option strictly from a football viewpoint.  But it won't happen because we have no cap space.  Plus, is he even in shape to step in at this point?

Sure, lets go through the process to clear 6 million or so in cap space so we can trade away some next year draft picks to acquire a player we never want to see on the field. Makes sense.

Have these idiots looked at our schedule? There's maybe one potential win the entire rest of the way with Tyrod at QB. If Cam goes down there is no QB on the trading block that would save us.

I like Tyrod just fine as a backup. He has typically been pretty smart with the ball, is mobile, and appears to be a good leader - heck he even has playoff experience. It was some sort of biblical miracle hat he got that shorty bills team to the playoffs. If the browns had a kicker, he’d probably still be the QB there. .. but the contract is an absolute deal breaker. They would have to send Tyrod and cash, if the cap even works like that. I’d  rather roll with what we have. I wish we still had joe Webb. I was just as comfortable with him as I was with Anderson.

Do people even watch Tyrod Taylor?

He is the perfect backup QB for Cam Newton. You know what you're getting with Tyrod a solid qb who will not turn the ball over. He doesn't make any big plays down the field but he takes care of the football.

Problem is his contract. No way we pay him that much as a backup.

So regardless if Cam goes down or any elite qb their team is fuged. Foles doesn't count he played like poo last season and this season outside of the 2 biggest games of his life. But over an entire season and away from Reid/Petersons system he's trash

If Cam goes down, then having Tyrod take over compared to who we have now is not really going to be an improvement. At all.

You keep a guy like Heinicke on the roster because he can learn a lot while he is here and if Cam were to go down permanently, you'd have a guy familiar with the system and players that could hold the line until you can draft another franchise QB. 

Tyrod is not that kind of player and doesn't offer the paycheck differential we need.

Plus, to pick up Tyrod, we'd have to let someone go and right now, we have no actual spare players considering injuries and weak spots.
