Believe Greg Olsen just said he ruptured his plantar fascia - his season is over. Says he had developed some “soft tissue stuff” over the past few weeks and this week “it just had enough.” “My foot popped.”

Olsen was asked if this might be the end of his career. Said he needs to get the foot healthy before really taking time to assess that.

Sadly, his career is probably over. Big men in their mid-30s just don't come back from chronic foot issues.

Good riddance. Last 2 years he has sucked and taken the Panther's for more money than he was worth. In his prime yeah he was a great TE.

Love Greg and he's been amazing here...but playing injured this year wasn't helping him or us. Outside of a couple of games, he's been pretty much a non-factor.  He's not worth his cap hit at this point, and we need to let Ian Thomas get reps and see what he's got.
