Update on road to playoffs: Carson Went Out

It's happening:

This morning, when Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera addressed his players, the message he shared for them wasn't particularly complex: In spite of all that has gone wrong for them in the second half of the season, they still have a very real shot of making the playoffs.

"All you need is a chance," Rivera said of his message to the players. "I thought the guys responded well."

Respond well they have: In the Panthers' locker room on Tuesday morning, the players talked about how they have been given an opportunity, and aren't going to let it get away from them.

"That would be a great story, wouldn't it? Beat the Saints, win the next two, and make the playoffs," said Julius Peppers, as reported by Joe Person of The Athletic. "Of course it can happen. We expect it to happen, actually."

I’ll laugh if Nick takes them the rest of the way,..

Carson isn’t all that,.. he’s fragile.

the thing is, they buried their luck and got rid of Torrey... how’s that working out.

we haven’t won a game since Torrey last started,..

hummmm—- you never ever bury your luck.

reap the whirlwind sheriff Brady,... reap it!

    • Best birthday present ever!
    • People were discussing the new backup QB in comparison the the starter.  Neither has anything close to a cannon.  Video was posted of them throwing.  If people can’t be free to express their opinions without being put on a list of posters who have ruined this place we have a bad situation here. People trying to silence  criticism of the QB.    Maybe actually post about the other players instead of about the other posters. That is where it went off the rails.
    • That's true and we're definitely going to hear more about it as summer progresses. But at the end of the day all of the progress we've made on the roster as a whole will only matter if our passing offense can emerge from the basement of the NFL. In 2023 it was 32 out of 32 in 2024 it was 30th out of 32 and last year it was 26th out of 32. And early in the season we relied heavily on a career year from Rico Dowdle who is no longer on the roster. This is only reinforced by the fact that we (depending on how one views it) effectively took playcalling out of Dave Canales hands and brought in another offensive mind. The elephant in the room isn't going anywhere no matter how much we may not like it.
