You know what, I'm not really mad about TD. TD has played lights out this year. He's obviously slower, but he makes up for it in savvy and works so well in tandem with Luke. I think we got a chance to see that last night, now that Rivera has really had a chance to re-install his defense. Luke and TD looked like their old selves again. 

Still, JR can go to hell.

For whatever you think of Matt Kalil, I'm pretty sure he didn't put a gun to Ron Rivera's head and tell him he couldn't switch Taylor Moton to left tackle.

Something doesn't sit right with the Captain and Matt contracts.  Almost like they are an anomaly or something.

Now I can't quite put my finger on it...but I'll figure it out at some point I bet.

IMO, I think Gettleman was forced into it because he had made a name for himself as being an asshole in negotiations, not just with Norman, but in many cases, he likely made absurd offers and offended other potential free agents.  Word gets around, that's known, and because of that IMO, it lead to even decent free agents staying away leaving him to do his "splash move" as signing Matt Kalil.  He knew he had to show some sign of trying to fix the line after botching it in 2016, and this is what happened.
