We suck.

The players? Yes but Matsko? Absolutely not. Having a revolving door at tackle and still having the most rushing yards per attempt and 6th best for sacks is a product of his good coaching. We do not need a new O line coach. Tepper was just bragging about him yesterday and was the only assistant on the team who he praised.

Matsko has done an amazing job for us here. He's been tasked with turning some pretty shabby personnel groupings into a working line and he's managed to do it very well. This year, the team finished the season with only one guy from the starting OL at the beginning of training camp, and that one guy just retired. Somehow we managed to be statistically good and with a top ranked rushing attack.

If you could get him another Gross or Ryan Kalil (not just any Kalil as we've learned), it would be amazing. The guy knows how to coach a line and bring them together as a group.

Amini and Matt Kalil would like a word with you.

So a coach is magically supposed to make a dude who should be on the street (Amini) and Matt Kalil (who sucked just as much with the Vikings aside from his rookie year) hall of famers?  You can't blame a coach for the GM bringing in poo players like Amini and Matt Kalil.  He made Remmers look like an all-star (minus the Super Bowl, which was Shula's fault for putting him 1on1 with Von), and made Van Roten look respectable.  Matsko is one of the best in the league, and for someone who is around here as often as you, I'm surprised you don't see that

    • That's why I said stats aside. I lived in CO during Allen's college career and didn't have kids at the time so I watched most of his games. Bruh, I'm telling you. Balls just spraying all over the place. The type of throws where you're honestly trying to figure out who he was even trying to throw that one too. It was crazy. Richardson was inaccurate in college but at least you could tell who he was trying to throw it too. He threw a lot of early in the game Cam Newton type balls where it seemed like he was just a little too amped up and everything was a few feet high.
    • A lot can change over the next week, but here is my best 53-man roster (note: I'm just basing this on guys on the 90 man roster currently). • He was a more accurate passer at 56.2%. That's what I mean. Even by outlier standards, this dude was inaccurate. Closest I can recall to something like that would have been one of those GT QB's like Reggie Ball. Career 48.6% passer.
