Its the offseason so ill post this in the main board.

Since we all hate the Cowgirls

Democarcus Lawerence who has been rumored may have the tag slapped on him again like Leveon Bell last year.  He is threatening to hold out if they do.

Zeke also threatening to hold out

Hard to believe that Garrett still has a job there. Dude has done zip since being hired. I’m thinking this might be his last year if they don’t make a serious playoff run.

And I’m just gonna say that if the freaking Cowboys are still “America’s Team” that America sucks at picking football teams.

The Cowboys are sitting on a ton of cap space and their established stars want their chunk of the pie. Can't say that I blame them. The Cowboys are missing their window. As soon as they have to pay Dak like a franchise QB they're gonna be in trouble. Dak is the type of QB who can win when you have him on a rookie deal and can spend a lot of money filling out the rest of the roster but paying a guy franchise QB money means that you're going to have some forced roster deficiency due to the salary cap. Dak can't carry a team like a franchise QB has to be able to do.

They have 52 mil

They have Lawerence contract they have to lock up, which he wants top DE money

Amari Cooper to lock up before he hits FA at the end of next season

Who knows what zeke's going to want and pull

Dak's current rookie contract:

5/31/2016: Signed a four-year, $2.72 million contract. The deal includes a $383,393 signing bonus.

2018: $630,000, 2019: $720,000, 2020: Free Agent

Zeke's current rookie contract:

5/18/2016: Signed a four-year, $24.9 million contract. The deal is fully guaranteed, including a $16.3 million signing bonus.

2018: $2.71 million, 2019: $3.85 million, 2020: Club Option, 2021: Free Agent

The question: will the Cowboys be able to keep both of 'em?

Cowboys have Zeke for at least 2 years. A two year hold out would be stupid

Talking about a hold out this early is also stupid (for 2019 or  2020) they could draft a RB (2019 or 2020) and let you sit around doing nothing

Yep. It will piss Zeke off, but he’s last on that list because of exactly what you said. They aren’t letting Lawrence go anywhere, like most of the top DEs that are possibly available. What happens with Dak will decide the fate of the franchise for the next 5-7 years. Cooper will want 16M/yr minimum.

Whatever keeps them from getting into Earl Thomas chase. Not sure if I want us to sign him,(price?) but I’d rather the Cowboys weren’t involved in it.

Jerry just wants a puppet.  Garrett is the perfect puppett... the only reason he is still there is that he has no backbone and is a YES man for Jerry

See the smart move would be to trade them both for as many picks as possible now and go draft the next set of QB, RB on the cheap,..

paying the $100 million to the QB and 50 Million to a RB and your place will go down the shitter for years.

remember when we had 2, $40 million RBs? Omg

    • You honestly think Tampa would have traded down with a division rival so their rival could land a “generational player” at a massive position of need for TB?   bruh
    • Ya'll better quit throwing shots at Zod. He'll come in here and ban everybody. I had a friend @prosource who was banned in 2015 because he said some very minor things about Zod being an ass to the posters on the main forum after starting the All-Pro one. He said he felt like another level is cool, but don't punch down on people that don't want All-Pro. (He did say that it wasn't going to last long anyways.🤔) I distinctly remember him calling and being like "dude, I got banned, my profile says I don't have access to the Huddle!") I feel like once Tepper came in and cut off all unofficial access to the team, Zod was going to be around less. The All-Pro board had really good photos, even in game stuff, and I remember seeing him behind a little fenced in area at Wofford for non team sanctioned press/photographers after Tepper bought the team. I knew then his ego wouldn't allow him to continue with past fervency and effort with that reduction in access. Dude was literally in the locker room when JR was owner.  I came over in 2011 immediately after finding out this place existed. I was super involved with the Charlotte forum, and fell off after its demise. I will never forget arguing Pep over Ryan Sims on that forum! Who is Ryan Sims some of you may ask? My answer is exactly!
    • And not see him running free. Because has been free a lot more than he gets credit for.    Now what XL does with that when he does see the ball, is on him.
