Probably wasn't getting the offers or attention he should be getting because of the time off. Makes sense.

I think had he been willing to wait until some of the first wave craziness was over, he might have wound up with a little better offer.

He may have thought some of that early crazy money was coming his way. Sounds like he was disappointed and didn't feel like waiting around.

Who knows? Maybe his wife didn't feel like waiting around either (or maybe just didn't feel like moving).

Unfortunately, I do think this is the worst case scenario.

I'm skeptical all around that Moton is as easy of a plug-n-play at LT and Williams is truly that great. Film hasn't been kind to Williams and I know 99% of people on here just listen to whatever the AP media/PFF writers say.

But maybe I'm wrong. And I hope I am, because Cam's health depends on it lol.

Williams to LG?  Just a thought.  This draft has a few nice RTs.

Williams injury was pretty serious.  I would not get  hopes up that he is ready to start in Sept

as to the draft, if the Alabama LT is there, take him.  He is smart, agile, with a mean streak. To me, he is the only LT worth that 16 and make no mistake. The Panthers need one  he could anchor that line for a very long time

there is also no telling what Edge rusher will be there at 16 anyway.

Dont be surprised if the Panthers go after a LB at 16 depending on who drops   After Luke, not much

I love Cody Ford and Greg  Little as well.   I would take either in the first if there is no DE we like on the board.

Darryl Williams is highly overrated by this board and highly underrated by twitter. But 6 million a year for an average tackle is highway robbery in today's league.

At worst Williams is solid depth.

At best we still get Jonah Williams at 16 and have our LT of the future and can bridge the gap with Williams this year.

    • His first season. I saw it with my own eyes, others saw it too. Old man Dalton had to come in to make the throw. I watch every game. You must of just missed it. He had another chance a couple of weeks ago from the 50 and didn't even attempt to throw it to the endzone....cause he cant.
    • I would say if they put Corbett back at center, that would be evidence of some kind of favoritism thing going on.  I would have to ask if our coaches are leaders of men.  So they bet not do some stupid stuff like that.  It would be one thing if Corbett had pedigree at the position, a probowler.  This dude has never been a good center in the slightest, and only looked decent at the guard position in the past. (Which I don't believe he ever had a fully healthy season as a Panther)    So this shouldn't even be a discussion if you're the coaches.  But again, Corbett never should have been the starter in the first place.  I know we're armchair coaching when it comes to these things, but before the season, I was rooting for Mays to win the position.  The guy played a key role in Bryce's surgence last year.  Why mess up that combination?  And they did mess up the combination by making Corbett the starter.  It could be we might of won against the Jags had Mays been the starter. (Yes, I believe it was that critical)  We know Mays went in late against the Cards, where Bryce began looking better at the end. (Though the Cards played soft coverage)  So all these things says Cade Mays is the better center for the team.  Yet certainly he is the better center for Bryce if nothing else.
    • He was our best YAC guy in 2023 and 4th in 2024(behind Hubbard, Sanders, Coker). He was a great and productive WR for us because he knows how to play the game, he had a connection with Bryce specifically and our other options have largely been atrocious.
