He’s best buds with Mark Cuban (aka he’s not an idiot), there’s not a doubt in my mind that he had alterior motives in investing in the AAF. It’s quite possible all he wanted was the gambling technology.

And to my knowledge the investment was structured, I think he’s only on the hook for $70M... which is nothing to him.

The guy geniuosly used a quote (“bunch of jerks”) from a sports broadcaster that was directed toward the Hurricanes postgame celebration and turned it into $42 t-shirts which were sold in every single state totaling over six figures...

If they (the Hornets) make the playoffs you should make a thread for them here.

Main board means more exposure.

I think the idea of getting more numbers behind our team is pretty cool which is why I like it being on the main board.

I get that we have a subforum for it and it’s been used throughout the year but a lot of people don’t even visit subforums. This thread has generated more views and and comments than almost any thread in the Hurricanes forum by simply being on the main board.

Once we are eliminated or win it all it will fade back into the abyss like it never happened but for now it gives us something in common to rally around.

Don't follow hockey even with two teams in the city. But cool for the Canes. I looked at the standings just now. Can any team beat Tampa Bay? They look light years better than any other team.

If it was a one game series then yes, beating Tampa four straight games... that’s gonna be difficult.

Boston has a shot but they are pretty damn good as well.

Tampa is legit. Can roll 4 lines that can score. Defense and goal tending is good as well. I think Boston and the Caps (If we don't beat them (: ) can make a series of it. I don't see anybody in the Western Conference doing much of anything against them.

It's always been allowed in the off-season. Igo literally makes a post every year during training camp that the off-season is over and that this section is once again Panthers related only.
