How would you feel if he was the pick at 16?

I know this a draft where DE is supposed to be the top choice. But if Sweat, and Burns is gone at 16. How would you feel if we draft Greedy Williams at 16? I think its a possibility that's who we pick in the 1st rd.

Torn.  It would be disappointing to miss out on a  DE in the first but if Greedy is at the top of the board then I’ll except it.  I don’t think it would be wise to reach and “overdraft” a player.  

This team has enough “positions of need” to not do that.

I enjoy the process, and understand that the draft will never be perfect. Never.

I would hate it, but move passed it and support the newest Panther.

I think it is stupid af to pick a player that only comes in for 3+ CB formations at #16, even if the nickel is becoming the most often used formation. Especially for a team that uses zone coverage as much as we do along with all of the holes on the roster.

Would rather a DL/OL guy that stays on the field.

Greedy is not the most pro-ready CB in this class, but I think he has the highest ceiling. I'll be a little disappointed if it's not a DL or OL player, but I'd get over it quickly. I don't think it will be Greedy, though.

I'd be fine with it. Gives us a bona fide #1 slot corner & a replacement for James Bradberry just in case we decide not to resign him.

Greedy is the best Man corner in this draft. Unless we are going to change our defense to play more man I would say no.  The best zone corner is Byron Murphy.  Not sure about him as high as 16 though.  I would try to trade back and get Murphy if that is the direction.

It’s always in a teams best interest to pull the best guy off the board. If he fits a position of need, even better. If he’s the first guy at that position, even better.. ala DJ Moore. So pulling the trigger on the best player makes your football team better regardless of need.

as long as he's not being a gambling jackass and trading away our first round, hurney's been money in the first. what ever it is, I think the guy will likely be a star. I want either OT or a pass rusher, but i'd be ok with it.

it's the picks after the first round that usually bring me a little stress, but in the first round i'm not worried too much.

If the DE's are off the board, he absolutely should be the pick. If the best DB in the draft is available at 16 you take and don't reach at DE. Greedy could very well be the BPA when we pick. I don't think he lasts to 16 though.

I would love drafting Greedy. 

I also trust Hurney. If he drafts Greedy l, that’s because Greedy has the best chance to be a star for us. 

What if Hurney skips on Sweat for Greedy? There will be a nuclear explosion here but that means Hurney has more confidence in Greedy than Sweat.
