...that option might be off the table shortly.

Dolphins, Cardinals closing in on a deal for Josh Rosen

Quote

Per multiple sources, the Cardinals and Dolphins are closing in on a deal that would send Josh Rosen, the 10th pick in the 2018 draft, from Arizona to Miami. The Cardinals would get the 48th pick in the 2019 draft.

While the Cardinals want more — and the Dolphins want to give up less — current indications are that the deal may already be done, tentatively. As one source put it, there’s a chance an agreement unofficially has been reached, and that it would be finalized once Miami’s pick is on the clock.

That’s the smart play for Arizona, which predictably will deny that a deal is tentatively done or close to being done. If teams drafting at No. 49 and below know that Arizona has pick No. 48, they can attempt to predict which player Arizona is targeting, and they can explore jumping the line.

As Arnold the Big Oak would say,..

You’re,... an Idiot,.. in the Austrian accent of course.

give up the first round pick next year for Rosen?

I get the win now, go for giving them the 32nd pick next year,,.. but I will bet you gonna get Munsoned,.. Hurneyed in this case.

at least Rosen is better than Pickles or maybe not,.. did Arizona actually win any games with Rosen? Just curious.

Rosen is a rookie QB who came into the league with a head coach on the way out, the worst team in almost every single area and possibly the worst oline ever to take the field that absolutely no one could play well behind.

Now the new coach wants a QB, one he is familiar with.

I am not saying Rosen is going to be good or great but I am saying he most certainly hasn’t had the chance to prove it. And I don’t know how the hell anyone with a hint of football knowledge can say after one rookie season, in these conditions, he’s going to be horrible.

People underestimate how much Mike McCoy, the Cardinals OC, contributed to their poor performance. He was almost Mike Shula level bad. By the time Leftwich took over, it was too late.

rosen will be a better pro than murray...just wait and see

Murray will fill the empty stadium, be on National TV every week (with highlight real), Talking heads every day, generate buzz every day and make the owners lots of money and publicity.

Winning is secondary to owners ... actually. Just score 50 points per game !!!

Arizona sports are a joke. 38 picks for nothing.

In what sense? Dollar sense? NO.

Superbowl sense? only the Pats can actually justify chasing SBs ... every other owner is in this just double the value of their franchise. That's the sad (and untold) reality for NFL Football.

I think both will go down as first round busts, though.

Yeah, I don't want either guy.

This is also true.
