Greg Little vs series..

WOW!!

Recommended Posts

I'm still not very High on Greg but he has faced some very good competition in the SEC.. So his transition to facing NFL talent might not be as steep.

Let's take a look at a few Video showing his snaps vs some of the best edge rushers over the years in the SEC..

Greg vs Sweat and Simmons twice..

He looked awful at the Combine, but then again Combine drills aren't football games. Orlando Brown had quote possibly the worst Combine performance of all time last year and proved to be a serviceable NFL OT as a rookie. Little didn't look anywhere near as bad as Brown did at the Combine.

I’m not a little fan nor was I excited about trading a high extra 3rd to jump up for him. But he does offer tremendous upside and hope at a position where we haven’t use a high pick on a left tackle since ummm...Gross? Just having a body in camp that is you and was a 5 Star guy who had the tools but hasn’t put them all together gives me hope which is something I havent felt at left tackle in a long time.

I don't think college tape has much value any more for us(as a team, not the fans). He's a physically gifted guy with high upside. It's just a matter if he has it between the ears, IMO. Is he going to buckle in and do what it takes to make the most of those physical abilities. We will see.

hes looks good in pass pro.

he is kinda ambivalent in his run blocking.

That was pretty much his reputation. We have greater needs in pass protection than run blocking from that position anyway, so that isn't as big of a negative.

It'll be a lot of help for our OL coaches. They'll definitely be scouring his tape looking for weaknesses in his technique and in-game processing to help shore up.

They are probably pretty well acquainted with that from the draft evaluation process. Now they will get a chance to coach him in a practice setting and correct that stuff.

Gonna be awhile before they can truly get to work with him. They were scouting lots of OL leading up to the draft.

    • I never thought a second look was even necessary. I was begging the football gods not to have us trade up to the 1st pick. And damn once we did it was a thoroughbred vs a little pony.    If you have a perceived generational player in the pool and you have the 1st pick, you just don’t trade it. In the first place. But all this Bryce drama - which (understandably) takes over almost any thread, just like this one - would never have happened if the team was not sold to Tepper.
    • I agree. I understand why he did though. And surely he had his parents in his ear who have always gone out of their way to make sure he always had the best and the least amount of adversity around him to that point in his life advising him to do so. Where I take the most issue with it is when people who just want to be sycophants start listing off other QB's who didn't throw at the combine and you don't even make it through half the names before your eyes roll right into the back of your head realizing every single of those QB's who didn't throw already clearly showcased the necessary prerequisite physical talents needed for the position.
