Celtics feel sorry for Hornets and looking to gift wrap Rozier

This was a save face deal for the FO. Hey we didn't give up Kemba for nothing...We got a starter to replace him....blah blah blah.

But we all know this is a bad move. Embrace the tank. We have a deep PG draft. So what do we do?

We make a trade to get a guy that I actually don't mind but we overpay him and I feel instead of top 4 pick we are going to be around the 6-8 range now.

This was one of those moves I absolutely didn't want

Lol, Rozier is not enough to stave off the tank. Not upset with the sign whatsoever.

Get these contracts off the books, keep your first round picks, and try this contending thing in about 2 to 3 years.

As for Boston; they’re not in position to feel sorry for anyone. They’re going to have wasted the riches they received from Billy King and Brooklyn. Nets might end up back in the finals before them. Ainge should be on the hot seat

Trading Kyrie for Kemba is a home run for ainge

He wanted Kyrie back, though.

He still has to account for all the first rd picks he received in that Brooklyn deal. They regressed last year, and the signing of Heyward is looking to be a bust as well.

    • My take on Darnold was always that he was fine with a good offensive line but would wilt under pressure with a poor line (Jets and Panthers). Seattle began the year w/ a pretty bad oline and they improved somewhat but Darnold is showing he is a pretty good qb. Imagine what the Panthers would be today with Darnold and without Bryce Young and all the wasted draft picks to get him.
    • Similar situation but that would be a better version than what we currently have. Sam isn't a franchise QB but he is a good bridge guy. Either Seatle finds a young guy to groom or they have hit their ceiling. They 100% can't put it on Sam's shoulders and expect to win but the team needs to carry less with him at QB to win vs what this team has to do with Bryce.
    • to me the post would suggest Sam Darnold was good last night because Seattle won in a wild game.   Which is what we do with Bryce Young.   Sam Darnold didn't play well last night.  Which is how he trends, goes to a new team.....looks okay and becomes classic Sam Darnold down the stretch.  Last 6 or 7 weeks old bad Sam is coming out a lot (and then a weird Atlanta game mixed in lol).
