Tuesday camp tweets

None of these guys icing up seems like a big deal. Camp is just progressing and guys are playing physical and taking hits. Just need to manage them into the season. I’m sensing the staff is being more cautious with more guys this year because of last seasons issues. It’s also good because for the most part we know what we have with a lot of guys and we’ll get a better look at what the young and fringe players can do. Little needs all the reps and practice he can get. It’s like Armstead for the saints. It’s gonna take a year or so of seasoning but the tools are there. I remember Greg hardy working him now he’s a quality LT. I believe with time and support Little will turn into the pro we want.

It coincides with Fowlers hand wringing over the Rodrigue Cam remarks. Not to mention Cam proceeded to lead an offense helmed by practice squad wide receivers to a near upset in New Orleans to which Fowler had basically nothing to say about. They wait for Cam to fail. You don't agree that's cool, but it's there to see as long as you aren't choosing to ignore it. Somehow I suspect if Fowler made Grier his target your tune on this would change, but do you my man.

I don't think there's anyone who I irrationally and unnecessarily defend -- be it a Panthers player, family member, spouse, whatever -- with as much vigor as you do with Cam.

Again, you're coming after me after I've spent years defending Cam. Also, there are a lot of Cam fans on here, myself included, who find your act more than a bit too much. In your head, you'll rationalize that as all of us love Grier more, or Allen more, or the world is racist. But maybe it's just that your rationalizations, like the one above, are inaccurate.

The narrative that I like Grier more than Cam came about because I was excited that we got Grier, since he's a local product and by all personal accounts a good guy from a good family. I went through this same bullshit when the Hornets signed Jeremy Lin and I was stoked about them doing it. Suddenly, I couldn't be a Kemba fan. I was a Lin fan.

Or maybe I just liked both, like I like Grier and Cam. Hell, I like Allen too. I really like winning and I think all three can help us achieve that.

Nobody is "coming after you". I was quite cordial.

You quoted me. I responded. If we don't agree on this so be it.

He’s been practicing most of the past two weeks. Only a handful of vet days from what I can tell.

Thanks, I had just missed it I guess. There's a lot riding on how well he does holding the line together this year.

I don't understand your issue with that. He was just using stats to back up what he was saying. Stats don't tell the whole story, but they can make one.

I don't think he actually read the article.

Summary of the article:

Cam is .500 in his career in the playoffs. He has had bad games, good games, and bad games that weren't his fault. The panthers just got steamrolled last week by the Falcons in one of Cam's worst professional games ever - But Cam generally bounces back after bad outings. The Panthers receivers are mediocre because they're all dead right now. Cam needs to play well for the Panthers to have any chance to win.

I fail to see any ulterior motive or underlying verbiage in the article.

"QB needs to play well in order to win Playoff Game"

The spiciest hot take I've ever seen.
