I get all that.  I really do.  Even agree with most of it.  Its just I think the perspective is off.  For the younger generations weed is as cultural as beer was to the prior gens.  Thats just my opinion but its not a thoughtless decision he's making.

That’s fine on a message board but a young guy with millions of reasons not to do something stupid did something stupid.  My kids do stupid shiit all the time.    I try to make sure that they understand the domino effect.  As an adult he should understand.

That said it’s  a blemish.  I think it’s not a big deal and ultimately wont matter but people hypocritically judge.

I think our current ownership is much more understanding than the former.

If the citation was for 25 over it will be a very hefty fine and points on your license. He is lucky he didn't get a ticket for reckless driving. In some states 25mph + is automatically reckless.

Hopefully he had less than an ounce and a half because if not that's a felony in NC and you may have to server jail time. Paraphernalia is almost always a misdemeanor.

As long as it wasn't in a school or work zone, speeding is less of an issue in court than drug possession. In this instance both were incredibly stupid.

Greg Hardy is a better end with one arm tied behind his back than Cox and was not charged with a felony either.

Driving recklessly in possession of a controlled substance is def not the height of human achievement, we'll just have to wait and see how bad they wanna punish him.

More and more players are using pot as a pain management tool.  Much better alternative than opioids.  The daily banging takes a toll and it starts during TC and will continue all season. For most,  now is the best their body will feel for the next six months.

    • I agree.  I don’t think I have ever been accused of being a Howell fan. No more than fan of some other random QB.   But I watched and I saw. He has some talent. Maybe I didn’t watch close enough to see his weaknesses.
    • He is a pit bull when it comes to that.  And after he missed out last year on Williams, it seems he is trying a different approach, looks like. Don’t hold back. No half measures, because someone will come and full measure your ass. Close the deal. He left a little opening for The Patriots last year.  He closed so far this year. Of what we know about.
    • They have been doing the mercenary one year RB now for a little while. Foreman..  It works pretty well. You can find ball carriers. The passing game trips a lot of those guys up. Pass blocking, route running, they have a lot to know.    Rico wasn’t a great pass blocker but he got in the way most of the time. He is a really good pass catcher.     He’s tough. Needs to find out why he was cramping late in the games. If he can fix that maybe can step up even more. Wish him luck. I think he’ll do well.    If Brooks can be something, what a bonus that would be at this point.  I really believe they went for him because of his extra layer with being a good receiver. And we need more of that with what we are working with trying to move the ball.
