I'm more concerned about Rivera v McVay.

I like Ron a lot for his positive qualities, but this just seems like a coaching match-up that doesn't favor him.

For all Rivera's leadership, he's not a nimble coach. McVay might do a dance on ole stable Ron. Obviously I hope not though.

Honestly, if Rivera's calling the plays I'm not too concerned. I have legit criticisms of him as a head coach, but he's very proven as an NFL DC. He may have an overall conservative approach to the game as a whole, but the man knows how to run an NFL defense.

No doubt. I agree.

But I think McVay as an overall general is more likely to make quick adjustments when seeing obvious problems, and that could hurt us.

My main concern is that McVay simply has more options for adjustments than we do. I expect us to field a much improved overall defense this year, but our weaknesses are still relatively obvious. Teams are absolutely going to test our safeties and nickelback and the Rams are built to take advantage of that.

It was extremely unsporting from Belichick. The entire point of preseason is to get a rhythm and work through bugs, not to win games. Everyone knows this, and that’s why both sides operate at less than full strength. Running what Belichick did was incredibly uncool.

Add in the fact that he was going up against a QB, LT, and C all coming off of injury and it looks even worse. Rivera should think twice about playing against them in the preseason every year.

Bro....Bro... Wade Phillips...

Aaron Donald being blocked by Paradis..

Hopefully Norv can scheme around that...dink dunk...screen...run. Wear'em out... them send it deep a couple times.

Sadly, I'm pretty sure they will blitz the entire game.

The Rams have a rep for being a dirty team too.

It's probably not as much since they moved on from Jeff Fisher, but I still think it's there.

One of the questions when the Panthers open against the Rams is how prepared will the Rams be? Folks have said Ron doesn't push his players in camp or the preseason but what about Sean McVay. Many of his starters didn't play one snap in the preseason. It is hard to imagine they will be fast out of the box with their quarterback and running back playing zero snaps in the preseason.

Damn... See I wouldn't want to shut him down due to fear of dirty play BUT do you really want to expose your franchise QB to countless hits aimed at his shoulder and ankle in week 1?... Guess we have to...I just wish our Oline was looking at least 75 percent improved.

As much as Phillips has game planned for Cam over the years..I feel like he know's the recipe better than most...then again that was with Shula at that helm.

Kinda sucks too that our first game could potentially be a blueprint for the entire season.

I gotta say though... That line is a huge concern. GVR ...no..

We need Little at LT, Williams at G to help Paradis, Turner at G, Moton at RT.

Or just say fug it...

Moton LT, Little, Paradis, Turner, Williams RT... (Then again, I dunno if you wanna put a rook next to Paradis just yet...but could he honestly be worst than GVR)

Questions, Questions, Questions...

This actually changes alot. Maybe a 15 percent swing in our favor. I know last year they didn't play preseason...didn't know this year was the same.
