Glazer sez Cam is "refusing to run".

Regardless of the play call or his injury status...it was super depressing to watch a 42 year old Brady get a TD on a 1-yard sneak....an u-athletic Goff get a TD on a 1-yard sneak...and an injured/banged up Wentz get a TD on a 1-yard sneak...

We could have definitely gotten that 1-yard on Thursday night....so depressing.

Gotcha, thanks.  But you are saying he was injured the entire season before that?  When was the last time he was ok?

FYI...Cam went 21-29 w/ 2 TD's & 0 INT's and ran it 10 times for 52yds and another TD....clearly he was fine.

Clearly he was not fine because that was the game we took Cam off the field to have Heinicke come in to throw an end of half Hail Mary which ended up just being a quick out to set up a FG due to some quick thinking from Olsen.

my analysis is that cam is probably gun shy after years of getting blown tf up with no protection

Tom Brady got blown tf up by the Broncos in 2015 the same as Cam Newton. They seemed to have bounced back well.

Difference is since then the Patriots have gone all in to bolster their offensive line. They didn't start by handing one of the worst starting tackles 50 million bucks either. They've also brought in stud veteran wideouts in Gordon and Brown. The Patriots also have some semblance of an NFL running game. Basically night and day from the Panthers. But the mouth breathers around here would have you believe this is a plug and play scenario and just about any QB not named Cam Newton could be placed within this roster and start winning immediately.

The Pats solved the OL problems by talking the best OL coach in NFL history into coming out of retirement.

This is true. Unfortunately for Panthers fans Ron Rivera only brings in assistants who won't push him for his job or rock the boat. AKA his best buds.

Why should he have to at this point?

You see any other QB's in the NFL running power? Let alone leading their team in rushing as he did only 2 years ago for a fanbase ready to throw him in the trash?

We have running backs. Use them.

Ungrateful bastages.

    • Thin sliced roast beef, provolone, and roasted bell peppers on a toasted sub roll.  At least one thing is going right today. I don't trust anyone who's never put Bugles on their fingertips to make witch fingers.
    • But yeh,  Bryce is the only problem on this sorry excuse of a team. You could put Tom Brady on this team and we would still suck . Worst part is Tepper and his various band of clowns have been trying to build a competitive team for 7 freaking years and are no closer now than when it all started.
    • Regardless of the trade and where he was picked, Bryce actively created deception. He wore a hoodie to the combine and was 15 lbs heavier because he packed on water weight because he didnt weigh near 200 lbs. He didn't participate in drills in a wide open 4 way, really 3, QB bid. Then there was all this hype over the S2 test that he had been practicing that we've never heard about in the draft process since. Does anyone think it was an accident Stroud's score on the S2 was released? Stroud said forget the score, watch his tape. Wonder why. There was a whole bunch of shady poo going on surrounding Bryce pre draft, and I for one, find it all a little too convenient.  Just my opinion, but he was a used car salesman that used some armor all and a wash n wax and maybe a set of white walls then schmoozed his way at dinner with Dave and Nicole and sold them that he was a super savant.  There was a whole lot of BS swirling around the BY hype train and he was a full fledged participant. Frank didn't want Bryce, he wanted Stroud. A new head coach does not pick a QB he has to go design a brand new offense around unless that guy is a generationaltalent, which Bryce was most definitely not. He picks the guy that best fits what he does and that was Stroud. This was Dave and Nicole's pick and they fuged this team like they've done over and over again since they've been here. They fell for use car salesman Rhule, then used car salesman Bryce and company. And the fans got stuck with the 4 years of payments on a car less reliable than Al Bundy's Dodge.
