Oh but these fans want to win soooooo bad.

Don't pay attention to how fickle and fairweather they are. Surely a QB worth his salt would want to come play for such an insufferable group of chickenshits.

You know they don't play for fans right?

Or are you calling Ron and Hurney chickenshits?  Cause I'm all in on that one.

lol give it a rest already

Cam isn’t healthy. It’s that simple. He won’t get healthy by continuing to play. If you think continuing to stick Cam out there is what’s best for this team then you’re no better or smarter than the idiots that decided to let him play in those meaningless games last year.

How is it Ron or Hurney’s fault that cam throws like my mom?

It's Ron and Marty's fault for not having a capable backup to Cam Newton.

It's Ron and Marty's fault that they are so backed into a corner, that they are and have risked the long term health of our franchise QB.

Any other questions?

Truthfully I wouldn't be opposed to letting Grier sink or swim. Either way if Newton is "done" as so many are concluding, we're likely drafting another QB next year anyways.

But I'm not foolish enough to think this same lot won't be throwing Grier in the same trashcan after a few bad plays.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
