Being reported that Mecklenburg county has cut the assessed value of Bank of America Stadium by 100 million, thus lowering the Panthers tax burden.

The Panthers apparently want it lowered even farther.

All the owners do this type of stuff and I'll be honest, yeah it kinda does impact my view of the NFL. Billionaires passing the buck onto the common taxpayer. Unfortunately, this isn't at all unique to the NFL business.

He's known to be pretty savage as a negotiator. Hell, he won the Panthers with the lowest bid.

Worth remembering this is a guy the NFL wants heavily involved in crafting the next CBA.

As someone who unfortunately lives in Fulton county Georgia and had to help pay for the F-ing Falcons new stadium, I have no sympathy for Mecklenburg residents. 

I have been to many different stadiums around the country, and BOA is on the verge to being completely out-dated. BOA isn’t terrible, but a retractable dome would make it a much more desirable spot for you guys.

Plus I wanted an owner focused on winning championships period. 

If you own a team that should be the only reason and focus. Anything that doesn't directly impact winning is unimportant. 

 

Tepper has a team of accountants handling these things. Every owner has to think about these things. There are only so many football decisions one can make everyday.
