Is Allen a legit starting qb

He’s not the future but sad how bad our QB play has gotten that a no name can be 4-0 with our offensive talent.

Cam is done. Can’t believe he wasn’t on sidelines helping Allen and his team. No excuse for this..none.

He's tied with Mahomes, Garopolo, Bridgewater and Brady with a perfect record.

That makes him, at worst, the 5th best QB in the league. I personally think he's 3rd or 4th after Brady and Mahomes.

Are you fugin brain dead or trolling?

no need to use insults. how is anything i said incorrect?

he's the first qb in the super bowl era to start his career 4-0 without throwing an interception. no one else can say that. saying he is top 3 or 4 isn't even a stretch.

Its so much of a stretch that if you honestly believe that, then its a giant neon sign that says "don't take me seriously about anything I say"

We don't know yet.

He clearly has some good tools, but for all intents and purposes he's a rookie.

After the Arizona game a bunch of cam haters popped out of the woodwork & crowed about how Allen was "playing behind the same line" & "guess it wasn't the line" etc... People pied the crap outta them & dubbed Allen Brady 2.0 & Baby goat... Well he looked normal against a decent Houston defense, & the "Baby goat" heard the tragedy (classical sense) today against a good defense.

Yes it's part of his job to hold onto the ball, but it's also the line's job to keep people off of him before he can take 3 steps.

He has the tools to become a starter, but everyone needs to take a deep breath & let things play out.

Unless the trainers told him to stay at home.

If the last two weeks is who he is as a passer, no. Maybe he can get this turned around.

But he perfectly shows that the team has been constructed to be able to win/compete without one. Which everyone should be really pleased about. But I know everyone isn't.

Edit: as to Cam not on the sidelines. There could be a good reason for it, but I'd sure like to hear it.

I’m not convinced yet at all. He’s way better than a hurt Cam has been the past 8 games, but has definitely had his share of issues. But there have certainly been QBs who start out as mediocre game managers and become great. I think Kyle has a ceiling of legit starting QB.

    • Nope Still missing it. Let's try this a different way... You have two quarterbacks from schools that ran the same kind of offense - maybe even two from the same school - on a given team (not necessarily the Panthers). One is designated the starter while the other is named the backup. Why?
    • yeah, pretty sure boss.....when things match and fit in the NFL.....the results then show it.  and when they don't, well, the results show that as well.  Bryce doesn't fit.   *but I get why late season and wants to argue with everyone Mr. Scot has also turned into a please don't talk to me about stats guy as well.  Given, the stats that reflect offensive productivity work against all your present arguments.
    • Yeeeah...stats and rankings have zero to do with a discussion of scheme and skill set match. Maybe look up definitions of style vs ability and see if that helps. At this point, you've basically had three different people explain to you where you're wrong, but rather than addressing any of those statements, you're just resorting to straight deflection.  You don't get it. Either that or you're acting like you don't get it so that you can avoid the discussion because it's not going well for you. (that wouldn't surprise me either) 😄 Sme result either way, I suppose.
