This isn't that subjective in anyway. I fail to see why you think this is me stating a pure homer fact when objectively reasoned out Cam should be the starter in this scenario based on Kyle Allen's play so far.

Because a lot of people who aren't homers are accepting other possibilities, including a guy named Smith that we all know well.

Seriously dude, if you're putting your trust in those Twitter guys but dismissing a guy who's actually worked in an NFL front office, you can pretty much throw any claim of "just trying to be logical" out the window.

Argues Ron Rivera's longevity in the NFL is helped "When you have an elite QB like Cam Newton." Irony is this wasn't even a question on Cam but thoughts on Ron Rivera's potential franchise win record, so that should speak volumes of how highly Norv thinks of Cam.

Olsen will say vanilla comments in general, but his reaction on the field with some of Allen's decisions shows he favors Cam coming back. I haven't seen him showing that kind of reaction with any of Cam's decision making ever, and I've seen that multiple times with Allen.

You're right; we don't know what will ultimately happen. Whether it will be the right or wrong decision remains to be seen.

Are you saying Cam never fails to throw it to open receivers?  Or suggesting that his receivers don't get visibly frustrated with him when he does?  We know the first is patently false (all QBs will overlook open receivers fairly commonly) and the second has nothing to do with comparing their abilities as QBs....unless you think it's going to cause some rift in the locker room if Allen becomes the starter.

We're looking at "healthy" all wrong. They wouldn't have Cam on the treadmill and whatnot if he was still in pain. I'm sure they could put him back out there now if they absolutely had to but thanks to Kyle they don't. They can take their time getting Cam back into the swing of it.

The dude is not a battery that you can leave on the charger until "100%" pops up on the screen. We're never going to truly know when/if he's completely injury free, so it's best to just give him as much time as we can allow and err the side of caution. If Kyle struggles I wouldn't be surprised if Cam's back at it next week.

I mean dude, you're arguing apples and oranges here and acting like some guy in an NFL front office who's had the amazing take of Mitch Trubisky will be tearing the league this year has an absolute weight over any prevailing opinion. I'm plenty more reasonable in my opinion Cam Newton is a better option than Kyle Allen and a whole lot of people in the NFL agree.

If you're arguing that I'm listening to twitter guys in this assessment, you're really underselling how much I've watched this team Scot, and it's disappointing to see that from you of all people.

My assessment comes from the film I've watched and you can see that backed up in my Kyle Allen thread. You should know better that I've done my homework on this.

Seems like you're completely ignoring evidence to the contrary of what I posted on Allen. And I have plenty of backup on what Cam Newton does that I haven't seen much from Allen.

Literally could care less if Allen turns out to be the one who keeps us winning, because ultimately that's the goal. But to assume I'm agenda based against him because I say Cam is better is just a take that of all people I wouldn't have expected from you.

Your argument that I'm biased also looks silly in the context of my post of Kyle Allen anyhow. If in any way shape or form my analysis was unreasonable or showed unfair bias please point that out, as that post was meant to be a fair viewpoint over Kyle Allen's career thus far.

@Mr. Scot I do hate bringing @ellis into this and I assume he could clarify this opinion more if he feels the need, but if you want me to bring his opinion in he's still of the same wavelength as me as far as whether this is Cam's team or not:

Perfectly reasonable take that this can be a game that shows Kyle Allen can be a starter in this league alongside the idea that Cam Newton still should be the starter.

Not trying to discount Kyle Allen at all. I've said time and time again he's a good starter in this league.

I just think it's rash to assume just because of that he's a better option than Cam Newton. Newton brings a whole lot more to the table than Allen, and it's okay to say the former MVP's the better option. I fail to see how that makes my opinion agenda driven and biased at all.
