Because you have games against packers, Seahawks and saints twice.  At 4-4 you MIGHT be able to lose two of those and win all the rest to make the playoffs

I mean, they could already know they are giving him a Luck year.   You then basically just let him slowly rehab and practice with no real intention of ever getting him game ready.  Then once the math is what it is.....say well, there is really no point but we totally would have if in contention.   

I mean, if Ron can get to 8-10 wins w/ Allen after starting 0-2?  I think Ron and Cam essentially come back for the make it or break tour for both here.

We're probably looking at the narrow spread of options between Tackle, Guard, Center, DT, Safety, LB, Return man...
