Cam to see foot specialist

I think linsfranc is a fairly common injury so I doubt Cam and the team thought he needed a specialist or the best foot guy in America. I guess when rehab wasn't working Cam and whoever decided the current team of doctors were stumped. Or just needed a new set of eyes.

I’m sure this is probably close if not exactly how things went down, I’m just saying that if my franchise qb sustains anything more than a stubbed toe, especially if it’s a kind of injury known to be tricky, I’m not taking any chances, get him to the top guy, stat.

Yeah that's fine. I mean hypothetically you can send every player to the best in the world for any ailment. There is professional judgment involved. Maybe they screwed up but there isn't negligence here...(I would hope)

Oh my.

Not a surprise.  Raised huge red flags when we found out he lied about the extent of the injury in the first place, which ended up costing us two games.  His heart may have been in the right place but maybe he just can't help himself and is foolishly pushing himself too fast too quick once again.

Tom Brady crumples into a ball on the ground when it looks like a big hit is coming.  Notice he's still playing at damn near 43 years old.

As they say, discretion is the better part of valor.

:eyeroll: you really think this bullshit. Yeah Cam wore a boot and tossed the boot and said I'm ready to come out of this now. Put me back in coach!!!

Oh not even implying there is negligence, just implying that medicine is super complicated, and when you have millions invested in the player who is the crux of your team, spare no expense and assume nothing anytime he has a significant injury, because every game counts.

This isn’t MLB.

I think Cam knew it was severe when he decided to sit and I think that had a lot to do with why he appeared to be affected mentally.   I hope he either heals and can play again and if not he finds peace and retires.  The mental part of health and life is the hardest.

We are in agreement. I would hope the doctors the Panthers have along with the doctors Cam has are the best of the best. He is now going to the best of the best of the best...SIR! Watching and biting nails.

Where’s the proof that he “lied”?

did he, Ron, Hurney or anyone say that?

The injury is just taking longer then Cam wants and he is impatient. If there is no break or seperation it will heal with time, it just might be another 4 weeks unless andrews has a different rehab technique. When he has stability technically he can play even if it hurts. He will be back and he will dominate, watch, as long as what we know so far is true. This team itself is talented enough to get us a wild card spot if not take the division. How many teams have a HOF caliber player on offense and defense and honestly a most likely HOF in Olsen.

From Jonathan Jones...

It's not so much that Cam Newton suffered a setback in his recovery for a mid-foot sprain so much as there hasn't been any significant recovery at all.

That's not good.

Id say thats speculation, jmo, he wouldnt be out the boot with absolutely no recovery. If this is truly the.case then he will have surgery, the sooner the better, and we will see him next season.

    • When a team has EXPECTATIONS you have to show them that your fandom and praise is EARNED.  People would be mad if the they lost two one goal competitive games like 2023 but they wouldn't have gotten booed out of the building because the effort and competitiveness would be there but to lose in THAT fashion at home with your entire top line going free lance and saying fug this yeahhh.
    • Well with back to back road games to open the season again we really can't afford a "slow start" at least not for the psyche of the fanbase that is already at rock bottom from years of losing. I think that will depend on our approach to preseason this go around. But I do agree the makings of a culture change could be big for us. At the same time we heard talk of this last year and then we got the doors blown off multiple times. I can agree with you it's best to try to maintain perspective until we get closer to the midway point of the season. The main things I want to see early on even if we aren't necessarily winning is spark and toughness from the offense and defense and at least keeping games close.
    • First goal hmmm im going with Verhague
