why would he?  he isn't in any particular position of strength right now from a negotiating stand point, and barring something unexpected, this is the perfect team for Cam to come back to form given the offensive weapons we have.  

and given his injury history, while I am sure some team would be interested in Cam, it seems a much better choice to come back here where you have an incredible back and some good young WRs than to roll the dice with somebody like the NY Jets lol

Who wants a prove it deal? I’m pretty sure this is a mutual thing with cam and the panthers being done. You can’t think Tepper didn’t have the final say on moving him if this goes past IR.

It's not a 1 year prove it deal, it is the last year of his contract.

coming in next year and playing on a lame duck contract is a prove it deal.  its a lot to ask of a franchise qb.  i would be surprised if cam plays under those circumstances. what if he gets hurt and can't get a future contract?  it would make sense for him to ask out and see what he can get

what if he gets injured?   i don't think you're digesting what a 1 year deal means from his perspective.  and no this isn't the best team for him to come back to.  a team with a good line would be the place

So Cam never had a bad day?  Jake Delhomme never had 5 picks in the playoffs?, The blocking was poor and WRs were not getting open.  Allen is 23 and in his first year as a starter, and he is outperforming nearly all other first or second year starting QBs.

You call him a chump.  Let that sink in.

Don't think Tepper doesn't notice the empty stands and sees the correlation with Cam's absence.  When Jourdan tweeted about the attendance Sunday, I tweeted back it was because of Cam...  he's electric and bigger-than-life.  People knew when you went to the stadium and he's playing, you're gonna see something you probably never saw before.  Now, not so much.  CMC is amazing, but he's not Cam - one big difference obviously being he's a RB versus Cam having the ball as the QB every snap.  JMO...  but, I hope Tepper does the right thing.

That's because people like to win and we just got blew out by the 49ers. People thinking that the stadium being empty because of Cam is freaking ridiculous. I'm so tired of hearing that sh!t, look people got that same feeling as they did after we lost to Pittsburgh last year like that. SMDH

That many people don't stop coming just because we lost one game (and lost it badly).  Jourdan said this has been a lingering issue for weeks.

We see what Allen has.  If he doesn't have "it", then maybe we draft a qb and at the same time, let Cam show us next year if he still has it.  

 

Its not good, but its not end of the world.  We have several options.
