First question she was asked was of course, the obvious one.

Not able to cut and paste her answer from the app, but I'll try to give you the gist of it.

Basically, she believes that if it were solely up to Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney, they'd offer Cam an extension.

But she doesn't believe David Tepper would, or will.

Tepper, she points out, doesn't have the kind of connection to Newton that Rivera and Hurney do, and he's a businessman known for making unemotional decisions.

For the record, she also doesn't assume that Ron and Marty will still be here next year.

Is she right? No idea, but that's her take.

The fact the Panthers are likely not making the playoffs paired with the natural timing to part ways with Cam makes it a pretty logical decision to start fresh from top to botth.

I am with Tepper on this one. A gm and HC whose futures with the team are in serious doubt should not be allowed to extend an aging qb whose injury issues create major question marks about his ability to perform going forward.

I heard Jourdan on the Adam and Joe radio show tell them that Cam will be eligible to return in 8 weeks if we make playoffs.

I'm a HUGE Cam fan but with his recent injruy history and the fact that he's already under contract with a relatively cap friendly figure for a QB in today's NFL, it would be absolutely insane to extend him right now. Let him get healthy and see what he has next year.

She has also stated that it's extremely unlikely that happens.

worth nothing there is a difference between not offering an extension this year and parting ways with the player out of the gate.  may try to trade him and if we can't get value see what he'll do when healthy

I have no idea whether she's correct about this, but if she is I would seriously question whether Rivera and Hurney will be here next year.

Letting him play out the last year of his contract is one thing. Extending him under the current circumstances would be absolute stupidity.

Realistically, if Tepper isn't in favor of it, it doesn't matter who the head coach and GM are.

Only way we make the playoffs is if 4 other teams extremely implode why don’t you guys get that lol . Then if we get there you think Kyle can lead us in clutch moments . I like Kyle but he not ready .

That’s not a shock, extension shouldn’t be thought of yet. We have him for a year, let’s see what he has left

That's the type of owner you need. Especially with Hurney and Rivera. Making the Playoffs with Allen might cure all.
