Jake went back to his game manager form which is fine because we won.

When Jake doesnt turn the ball over we usually have simlar results as today.

Celebrate the win people....Jake didnt do anything that wrong today to warrant any barking.

Good game Panthers !

I'll be honest - I'd rather win with those numbers from Jake than potentially lose, even with better numbers from the QB, with anyone else.

That being said, I agree that no real confidence in the QB has been gained from this game... but hell, the defense played incredibly well and earned their #1 pass ranking (even if it no longer will stand probably =()

I thought Jake did OK. Just don't count on him passing you to a victory and it can work ok at times. He was getting rattled when the pocket would breakdown with that deer in the lights look but it never resulted in a fumbled on pick today.

Jake played well and did exactly what we needed him to do. He missed some passes in the second half but when we needed him in the first half, he was money. Truth is we weren't going to put him in high risk situations and Fox wanted to help him get his confidence back with short passes and heavy emphasis on the run. Especially against Arizona is was important Jake not have a bunch of turnovers. It was a good gameplan and Jake did well with it. Anyone who can't be fine with that is a bitcher and complainer. Jake will likely give you opportunities to complain in the future. You can surely give him his due when he earns it.

BTW anyone think that Warner is done after throwing 5 INTs and a fumble. So far for the year he has 11 interceptions and 2 fumbles for a total of 13 turnovers. Right behind Jake. You know who else has 11 as well? Cutler.

Just sayin............

seriously, this should have been jake's role for every game. Only throw when we have to, but for real, let it go. We won, and he didn't throw any picks. lots of QBs throw some "almosts" that never get caught. im a "Delhomme-hater" and even i want to salvage this win. drop the negative vibes.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
