Tepper going crazy on Ron after 9ers. Did it happen

I don't see that happening from Tepper. I suspect they likely had a meeting of sorts at some point thereafter Mon or Tues.

It's Tepper's show and he does not strike me the least little bit as the Jerry Jones type.

Plus Ron knows the deal. He is trying every maneuver possible to salvage the season and his job.

Let's be honest, his defense is just too damn porous.  I am sure Rivera, Hurney and Tepper addressed all of this after last season. I give Ron and Hurney credit for the massive changes made. I think Tepper realizes the gaping holes with our roster.

Going nuclear is not what I would associate with Tepper's disposition. He is quite measured and analytical.

I do believe this however, the man will move swiftly with change.

I know people who worked at Goldman with Tepper....

....trust me when I tell you "going nuclear" is in his personal playbook.

I have no details on the situation with Ron, and certainly don't think "going nuclear" is a regular happening --- but it's definitely in the playbook.

It's hard for me to imagine Tepper going crazy. He seems even tempered and more intellectual than emotional, but what fan would know much of anything about his personality anyway. I can't think of any person who enjoys being embarrassed.

we often make the mistake because we see some person talk on TV that we actually know what they are about...

public personas are just that.   we do it all the time w/ players and celebrities.  Tepper is a local celebrity.

I remember hearing a story about Tepper throwing a breast implant at one of his employees while going nuclear. Like most self-made men he has a low tolerance for failure.

Hard to build our brand when we're getting our poo pushed in like that.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
