Nothing wrong with it, seems to make perfect sense and then you don’t have conflicts and you don’t have to keep changing things up.

It’d be fun to get a SB here as well. Not that most of us would go with the ridiculous prices but seems like there would be some cool things going on around town.

If we had a dome I think the main thing holding us back at that point would be hotel capacity. The NFL has some pretty significant requirements in this area, but Inthink they were developed before Air Bnb was a thing, so maybe they’d reconsider that bit.

Sure seems like building a new stadium is the golden ticket these days to hosting a Super Bowl. The NFL loves to dangle that carrot to help their billionaire owners extort hundreds of millions of dollars from city coffers to help build stadiums.

Kinda makes me sick thinking about all the other things that money could do instead of helping those who absolutely need no help.

Amen.

To be clear, as much as I love football, I’m not in favor of building stadiums with public money. My initial post was about the site making sense as a location for both parties. As far as my own personal opinion, I’m with The Fuzz on this one B of A is perfectly fine, unless Tepper wants to come out of pocket for it, in which case have it at hoss.

Agreed, and came here to post just that.

Concerned with recreating Jerry World, getting soccer to Charlotte, and buying golf courses seems much more important that building an actual consistent winning football team here.  Yes, he has said that's the goal, but words mean absolutely crap as far as I'm concerned.

Why the F is he worried about a stadium when BOA just had a facelift and is perfectly fine?  I don't get it.

Signed,

Frustrated Fan

Pretty sure Tepper can walk and chew gum at the same time. Why wouldn't he want a modernized new stadium to catch up with the rest of the league. Our stadium is one of the worst and oldest in the NFL and you know Tepper ain't about that.

The timing of the new stadium talk is just horrific.

We have been abysmal at home the last few seasons. Maybe worry about the product on the field before a shiny new stadium.

Horrific? What is so horrifying? LOL.

What does the home record the last few years have anything to do with plans to build a new stadium?

What’s horrifying is a billionaire trying to sell the idea of a new stadium at a time when this team is mired in mediocrity with no foreseeable lifeline to drag us out of the muck (unless Cam really is Superman and can come back healthy).

What’s horrifying is continually pushing the agenda of a new stadium without an ounce of communication as to how it would affect thousands of psl owners who have committed large sums of money to acquire those licenses and have paid top dollar for tickets through the few good and mostly bad seasons

whats horrifying is an expectation that this fan base will foot the bill for psls again or that this fan base will show up to games in a down year. If you think what Jacksonville does is embarrassing with the tarps over seats, just wait until we have a shiny new multi billion dollar stadium with about 40% of the seats occupied when the 3-7 panthers host the 3-7 bucs on a Sunday (maybe he will offer free redzone, in seat gambling, and free beer with the purchase of a ticket to fill it up).

all of the above goes away with him establishing a winning culture around here first which is what (I believe) The Red was alluding to with respect to timing. He wants a new stadium, cool, give us a few years of winning football and you will have the fan support to back that project.
