Despite the effort today, does the loss still put Tepper over the top towards firing Ron?

It seems like Tepper is a proponent of mediocrity, which is what we will have year in and year out. We will get 5-7 wins, maybe 8-8 if we are lucky, and nothing more. RR will be given the keys to the city and he will leave on his own terms

The Ron Rivera era needs to end. Another typical crushing loss to the Saints, close but not good enough. It's a pattern that has been ongoing for year. No more.

Exactly.  Which is why firing Ron now doesn't matter for that.

Its going to keep happening unless Tepper forces a change. The franchise will stay mediocre unless he does something about it.

Ron should be gone by Black Monday but hopefully someone else is fired first I choose Marty Hurney. Tepper needs to show the fans he means business because idgaf what he says until I see it. All I’ve seen is some weak ass soccer team proposal, nobody gives two shits about soccer if the Panthers can’t even bring a fan base together.

So the organization has more time to conduct an adequate coaching search. It gives them time to evaluate prospects the rest of the year.

That appeared to be Tepper's approach last season.  I posed the question now, because there seems to be quite a bit more urgency now for results.  It's not a coincidence that Tepper came out after the Falcons loss, unsolicited, and said what he said.  I believe it was to send a message.  And his words didn't seem to lend themselves to patience...  And yet, we are 1-3 in the division now.

And if he's fired, I don't think it's about fixing things this season, it'd be more about setting a standard for the future, all while preparing for it.
