So basically confirmed now that we are going to run CMC into the ground in a losing season.

Not a good sign for a future contract if he's all used up and beat up by the time negotiations begin.

He's the 3rd RB so really nothing has changed. (they're still going to run CMC into the ground)

This sounds like they need another OL more than a 4th RB on the roster, to me.

Hurney wasted a draft pick on him to sit on the bench behind CMC.  He went to IR with an infected wound on his a$$ suffered from a splinter incident riding the pine all season.

He had three special teams snaps against the Saints. He had been averaging 10-12.  Maybe there was an injury that would explain the drop.

Not that I'd ever defend Hurney, but to be fair it's the coaches who decide who plays and who doesn't.

Hurn-dog is on a roll- Gualden cut, Little probably headed to IR with minimal impact and Scarlett now on IR to free up a roster spot for OL depth signed from the practice squad.   And people wonder why I criticize his drafting ability...or the lack thereof.

no, that's the point. Plus it seems like they want to give Davis a possible look. So this is just a end of the season dump to get OL help on the active roster.

Remember when we cut Anderson to get a better look at CAP? LOL!

I suspect it's simply that Davis is the better STer.
