Kyle Allen Only Struggles Because of the OL

Well, that doesn't bear out statistically. Not in pass protection. They aren't even the worst in the NFL. Maybe they end up there at the end of the season, but I kind of doubt it. Bottom five? Unquestionably.

Stats have too many variables to be reliable, especially as it pertains to offensive line.

I can't recall ever thinking we had a line that was this across-the-board terrible.

I actually think this is the worst line I've seen the Panthers field.

That doesn't really excuse mistakes that Allen made, though. Not every miscue can be attributed to bad blocking.

With Williams at LT, it is pretty close. But Bell, Chandler and Amini (I think Trai was a rookie) in 2014 was 3 of 5 starter that shouldn't even have been in the NFL. They were that bad.

Most QB's would struggle behind our line.  A rookie QB most definitely will struggle behind our line.

Allen started off well, but has fallen into the trap of trying to make something happen when it it not there.  When protection is good, he makes some fantastic throws, but overall, his decision making is killing him at the moment

No argument. That line was terrible.

I just think this one is worse.

I remember someone made a gif of Bell, Chandler and Amini being bullrushed into Cam as soon as he hiked the ball. Cam was just looking like What the Actual Fug is This Ish?

Stats would tell you that Matt Stafford is a better quarterback than Cam Newton.

Sure, if you only look at a narrow range of stats.

This isn't the worst pass protecting unit in Panthers history. I have literally shown that before by simply looking at historical stats SPECIFICALLY on sacks, sack rates, league rankings, etc. I can put them up again, if you'd like.

OL is probably the worst position to judge by stats.

Ask yourself this: Was our line last year really any good or did having a mobile quarterback make them look better than they actually were?

Imagine if the 2014 line didn't have a mobile Cam Newton. RIP.

Trying to cover up his pro-Allen could be the future time to move on narrative lol. This is q meh.. allen is not that bad it's the line narrative.

You mean like that part where I said Allen's mistakes can't be blamed on the line?

Yeah, sure.
