January 1st Mock Draft Thread :)

Start of a new year, seems like the perfect time to do some really early mock drafts .

Here's mine . No sexy picks but I love it , finally stop making excuses and get a god damn oline. Surely someone in our roster could be the LT of the future (Wills, Adams, Moton, Little, Daley)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 9 (JAX): Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama (C+) ((Could easily be Andrew Thomas or Tristan Wirfs if either slip to 7))

Round 2 Pick 7: Trey Adams, OT, Washington (B)

Round 2 Pick 9 (JAX): Creed Humphrey, C, Oklahoma (B+)

Round 3 Pick 7: Jalen Hurts, QB, Oklahoma (A-)
Round 4 Pick 7: Marvin Wilson, DT, Florida State (A+)
Round 5 Pick 7: Levonta Taylor, CB, Florida State (A+)
Round 6 Pick 7: Jonathan Garvin, DE/OLB, Miami (A+)
Round 7 Pick 7: McTelvin Agim, DT, Arkansas (A+)

I'm sure we'll all be thrilled walking away with the 3rd offensive tackle off the board when we have the 7th pick in the draft. Let's hope we still have Hurney for the first pick at least so this doesn't become a reality.

lmao, b/c its the 3rd ranked player at his position doesn't mean its going to be the 3rd best player for their career.

I hate to say it because I do it too, but we have way too many needs to address in one draft---free agency is what our focus should be on now--we literally have no idea what holes we will have (on paper) until Magic Marty goes to work.

Hate the first pick, love the second, hate the third, love the fourth.  We just have too many holes right now.

If Bradberry does not re-sign here--this changes.  If Cam is still injured, QB becomes more of a priority.

I appreciate you sharing this because it is interesting--nothing personal here at all---but I do not like a top 7 pick that has no real spot or does not make us better day 1.  To add him to a crowd to let Matzko sort out is not ideal.

Thanks for posting this--when I get some time, I might throw my ideas to the wolves.

    • His tape isn't that good, ups and downs. He's just like anyone drafted outside the top 5 or so, he needs coaching and reps. Yes the Neals, bectons, have hurt giant stocks, but I feel Proctor going to break that. He only allowed one sack in the SEC and that was in a so-so year. He's got ELITE feet and great hands, that's rare.  There's 0.0 chance he's lasting to 19, he's just too much of a player.  If not for a couple players combine, he would have the best one. I feel it was top 5 after styles, Thin, etc.. I wish they let the guy do his 850 squat and 550 bench, but thats unfair...
    • It all depends on what damage was found and how well the surgery takes. I think trust is going to be a huge factor. As someone who's had multiple knee injuries, it takes a while to feel safe doing everything without that splinter of doubt in the back of your mind again. I can't imagine what that would feel like for a NFL players.
    • Advanced about 15 years I reckon.
