Would you rather have CMC with a rushing and receiving record or an actual deep passing game to speak of that might have actually won us more games? We were dumping off passes to CMC all the time because we couldn't move the ball downfield to keep defenses honest.

As bad as our run defense was our distinct lack of ability to get the ball downfield is what kept us down against even inferior competition like the two win Washington Redskins.

I get fans need something to hang their hats on but when you start asking why we weren't actually winning while celebrating this I cant help but give some serious side eye.

Yeah we didnt have a QB that could hit a fuging deep ball to save his life.

Yawn.

5-11 team .. had we been 11-5 he would have way less stats

But the record he set was on tied with two players who’s team did have winning records and went to the super bowl...

hating on a record and performance CMC has because of an unknown and unlikley possible outcome of a hypothetical situation outside of reality?

Time to ignore this guy. He’s either ridiculously stupid or a terrible troll. As if Norv Turner offenses don’t always have RB studs. As if Emmitt Smith and LT never got to the playoffs and aren’t two of the best RBs ever. Same with CMC. Anyone saying he’s easily replaced is a moron and this guy is clearly a moron or a bad troll.

Rayzor seems to think it's the former. He indicated it's one of our previously banned nimrods but hasn't said which one.

Apparently he actually believes the moronic stuff he's saying.

Why do you present these as mutually exclusive options? Good offenses look downfield and take the checkdown if the downfield option is covered. I am pretty sure a qb can throw 1,000 yards to his rb and still have a deep threat receiver who accounts for significant yardage. That is basically the KC offense in a nutshell or the Saints the last couple years with Kamara. Once we have a qb capable of throwing down the field with accuracy, I don't expect CMC to languish. We'll just be that much more difficult to stop.

I wouldn't bother with him any more and I would the other idiot in this thread. Some trolls just get to exist, apparently.

I would absolutely love to see what Josh McDaniels or Eric Bieniemy could do with McCaffrey.

I mean .. he already had a season with 1,000 rushing 1,000 receiving .. they probably won't top that .. this season is the statistical ceiling for CMC

I'd love to see what Bieniemy could do with Cam Newton
