Only if hes truly that good, high IQ, amazing first step, and amazing in coverage. If not I say we stick with shaq in Luke's spot and play alot of nickel. This allows us to keep our draft strategy the same, I still think stopping the run is our priority at a aging position. D. Brown would help the entire defense, by stopping the run it will take pressure off our secondary and force the other team to throw. D. Brown also allows our lbs to shoot gaps and stop the run at the LOS or in the backfield.

The only thing trading back will do is seal Simmons fate to another team. Kid is a baller and he might not even last to 7. He was already a projected top-12 pick heading into last night....now, he's in the convo for possibly going after Chase Young to the Lions if they pass on Okudah. 

We have more areas to fill, but I'd be happy with Lynch in the 2nd round at DT if we do go Simmons at 7. Wirfs & Brown are still my preferences at 7, but landing Simmons would be solid as well. 

The only wrong choice at 7 is Herbert or a WR, IMO...everyone else projected to go top-10 is a win.

I said i wouldnt take a premium DT over a OT its definitely a hell no over Linebacker. 

If Andrew Thomas is there its no way im passing him up to draft a LB. Come on now,  we can find a LB In free agency to put beside shaq.  If brown and thomas gone i would be all for it.

Wasnt referring to anybody specific, the point losing luke is a blow but we dont have to replace lukes talent specifically to be good defense again.  

Also its hard to say considering the SEASON ISN'T OVER WITH YET and we dont know everyone who will be available in FA.

Such a Hurney/Fox/Rivera move. No doubt.  Will be interesting to see the first draft without an old NFL defensive HC.
