You mean the 15-1 team made up of all the same players that went 7-9 in 2012. Or 6-10 in 2011( minus Luke) or the worst team In the NFL. Over 80% of the roster Was DGs. And does that mean his 2003 SB is Seiferts team?

Why could Ron win with another GM? If the case is closed, what’s the answer to that?

It takes two-three years for rookies to develop obviously.  Hurney gave us Cam, Luke, Olsen in 2011-12.  The players who carried the team.

Yeah, the "Hurney gets credit for 2015 because of a few players" argument is one of the stupidest things that's ever been said on this board.

So again, hope you're trolling with this.

The guy that presided over a historic collapse in one year, failed to secure a capable backup quarterback the following year and built one of the worst run defenses ever is "slightly above average"...

Sure.

See this is what I’m talking, your hate for hurney is so strong you’re blaming him for elements outside his control.

historic collapse? Run defense ? You can thank Rivera and Eric Washington for that, specifically Washington.

now I’m “defending” hurney cause we are blaming him for things we wouldn’t blame any other gm for another team

backup qb or not I still think the end result is the same, i thought Kyle proved to be a decent qb

there’s other stuff to blame hurney for than things related to coaching

Yes I know, it's everybody's fault but Marty's...even when he has full control.

Oy :eyeroll:

Was Olsen a rookie? Did Cam not have one of the best rookie seasons ever? Did Luke win DPOY in 2013 because Fua and McClain were playing in front of him, instead of rookies Star and Short.

How about the 15M in dead cap and 15M in wasted money on C Johnson. How’s 30M wasted figure in?

Why were we a team that went to the playoffs 80% of the time when Marty was training at an AM radio station? Yet no other team wants to even hear his thoughts on anything.

Yeah i bet if you trip an fell you’d yell “damn you hurney!”

No, but I wouldn't trust what's likely to be a complete rebuild from the ground up to a guy who's "slightly above average...maybe" just because a guy whose decision making is unproven said that it was a good idea.

I have higher standards than that.

You mean making the playoffs 23% of the time isn’t what the goal is here? Huh....who knew?

From my knowledge it’s been stated multiple times that he’s to take a backseat or less prominent role, has been stated multiple times by our writers but people still want to bitch and moan, have at it, again I trust tepper to put who he thinks can get us rolling In place.

we don’t know what level rebuild we are gonna go through just yet, speculation is fine but bitching about something that hasn’t even occurred is just a display of impatience. All we can do is just wait and see what the grand plan is

Yeah, except the question was "do you trust Marty with the rebuild" and your answer was "yes".

So now is it "no"?

was it john fox’s idea to trade into the first to grab jimmy clausen even though no other executive was willing to touch the guy with a ten foot pole in the first round? i know it didn’t happen but marty was on the phone trying to cut a deal.

Stupid take. No GM wanted Tom Brady in the first round.
