We won't allow Cam to show what he can do with innovative offensive coaching?

Playing devil's advocate for a minute.  But Cam couldn't even get the plays off in time. What makes you think he can quickly release the ball.

we know cam can do it because we have seen cam do it.

ever watch cam running the two minute drill? when he didn't have to listen to grandpa norv's plays in his ear and could call his own plays? he ran it very well.

a successful coaching staff will mold their coaching based on their roster. norv and ron refused to do that, and this is why we're here now.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton loves playing in the no-huddle, hurry-up offense, calling it “our edge.”

Tight Greg Olsen believes Newton excels in an upbeat offense.

But coach Ron Rivera pumped the breaks on the notion that the Panthers should shift to an up-tempo style offense for four quarters after erasing a 17-point fourth quarter deficit Sunday and stunning the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles 21-17.

Rivera said Monday that while he is open to using the no-huddle more in certain situations moving forward, he quickly added “I don’t think that is going to drive who we are as an offense.”

Panthers offensive coordinator Norv Turner went to the hurry-up offense in the fourth quarter to breathe some life into a listless offense that managed just seven first downs and no points through three quarters. Newton responded big time, completed 16 of 22 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns in the closing quarter, including the go-ahead score to Greg Olsen with 1:22 left.

Newton has excelled in the no-huddle offense throughout most of his eight-year NFL career, seemingly liking the rhythm of a fast-paced attack.

ATL'leinCamNewton is such a unique bad poster. Most horrible posters in the recent past have been irrational Cam haters/bashers... ATL takes things so far to the other end of the spectrum that even @TheRed and @tiger7_88, two of our biggest Cam supporters have to the be thinking like, "dude, chill."

I'd argue the exact opposite. I always went nuts trying to figure out why we didn't throw slants when we had Funchess because it was almost always automatic assuming Funch caught it. Cam can throw the quick pass, and I think he'd benefit gratefully in the kind of system NO runs. Tons of quick passes with the occasional shot down field. Before he got injured two seasons ago, he was executing that minus nailing the long ball. Having the shoulder fixed, maybe that deep ball is back.

Imagine Cam throwing those slants and deep ins to DJ and Curtis. Brady's offense is literally designed around those levels concepts and flood concepts. Those are Cam's strengths.

Part of the deep ball issue is they were working with him to get a little more air under the ball so receivers could adjust to it.  That was part of him changing his motion.  Unfortunately, the injuries make that a work in progress two years later.

It is obvious to me he is Cecil Newton.

Rayzor says he's one of our repeat offenders. He comes off like a kid with a hero complex or a guy who's got a few issues.

Not quite sure he understands that the Panthers exist for purposes other than supporting Cam Newton, or that Newton isn't necessarily committed to play just for the love of the team. Heck, he was pretty all in on Mike McCarthy based on his belief that his system would help Cam when in fact Newton isn't a great fit for a WCO.

"Real world" thinking doesn't exactly seem like his specialty.

It is really whether Cam has the skills to fit into a Saints style of offense. He has to be able to throw quickly and accurately given there are often unblocked rushers when you use 4 or 5 receivers. Burrows was throwing darts sidearm as the defender crashed.down on him. Can Cam duplicate that? That is the kind of QB we need for this offense.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
