Last season we actually had a respectable return game that I remember was Mark Jones I think, then the wedge block was removed and he was done.    That was like a lifetime ago lol.

Anyway I feel this hire is because there just wasn't anyone else.

Eh this is why you interview people. Clearly Beane and McDermott were here under Rivera and are doing better elsewhere. Blackburn may have wanted to do things a better way and Ron gonna Ron.

Rivera is one of those coaches that makes people worse, not better.

That’s completely ridiculous. You can say he is loyal to a fault, is too stuck in his ways and not the best at scheming and game planning, etc. but he definitely gets the most out of his players and coaches. If he didn’t they wouldn’t be getting opportunities elsewhere.
