Where do you get that I hate cam?

Man people can't talk civilized on here. You tell someone Cam is retiring, looks terrible throwing or getting traded ur racist. I've watched alot of football in my life and the guy just looks beat and done. But I guess people want to love in this fantasy world.

If there's a Cam Newton thread on the huddle, you can bet there's a week or two week old shitpost account just waiting to litter an atrocious take.

Looks like some house cleaning is in order.

They let Stephen continue to stick around with his shtick.

The divide really is childish---if you have to put things in one of two boxes to understand, the complexities of a mixed emotion is lost on you.

The people who love Cam see his tremendous talent and athleticism.  They see his leadership, his philanthropy, and his accolades.  They do not see getting rid of him based on what he has done and still might be able to do for this team if healthy.  They think he can return to form with a good OL.

There are no haters.  There are people who think Cam's window is closing or is closed.  He is a banged up running QB who did not really change his game the way Steve Young, Randall Cunningham, and a few others did. They are concerned that he is making $20m per season and he really could not play much or well for the last 2 seasons.  Now rested, can he put together one good season?  If so, what will his contract demands be in 2021?  He has taken a beating.  Is there much left he can offer?  Can you build a team around that player?  That is not hate--it is what GMs do every day with popular players.

Reminder to everyone here that if it were up to @MHS831 we would be hitched to a crippling Kyle Allen extension after watching him throw 16 interceptions through 9 games.

You are a joke.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
