I know people like to get into number of years, but it's not like the team has plan that specifically says "year one we do this and go 2-14, year two we do this and go 5-11, etc."

All it really means is they're going to be very patient, take it slow, think long-term and not be worried if we're losing a lot of games right now.

The plan is still to get better as soon as possible, but better in a long-term way rather than a short-term way.

awful presumptuous to assume we’ll be competitive within 5 years of running off an mvp quarterback. considerably less realistic than allowing him the opportunity to get healthy and being competitive next season

Don't underestimate the healing powers of low expectations.

I disagree, with the extent of the coaching staff, there's going to be a lot of teaching, attention to detail and accountability. I think we're finally on our way to being a team where everyone, including coaches, are on the same page...
