I can’t believe people are still downplaying this virus. Y’all better believe college football and NFL seasons are in jeopardy this year.

Watching football(College or Pro or any sport) isn't worth it spreading this virus around faster and not important compared to what is going on right now. The world of sports can be on hold for a while till this is over.

At a healthy 37 my wife and I are very low risk too. Our 4 year old daughter per current data is essentially no risk. I'm worried about my three grandparents and our parents that are still alive. They're in considerably higher risk groups.

Well, three just became two. :(

Assuming that means what I think it means, so sorry to hear it.

Yeah, my dad's father passed away this morning. Sucks, but it was time. He had advanced emphysema from a lifetime of working in a carbon plant. I really feel for my grandmother right now. Funerals are sad, but the gathering of people and sharing of stories does help the healing process and that's just not possible right now and people of their generation in that area aren't exactly the most tech savvy to make a virtual funeral much of a possibility. I'm just worried that as word gets out the community is going to start flocking there anyway.

Tough times man, my condolences.

Meanwhile, in Italy only three weeks into their lockdown it seems like the people might be about to their breaking point.

https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-italy-becoming-impatient-with-lockdown-and-social-unrest-is-brewing-11965122

This is why it's so dangerous to mislead people that thinks are going to be back to normal in a matter of weeks. They're not. You gotta set proper expectations.

The UK is setting 3-6 month expectations for social distancing protocols. Not to say things are going to be completely locked down that long, but we're going to be dealing with a "new normal" for quite some time.

At the beginning of this, I was wanting to camp at home and avoid the danger, as mentioned, I have lung issues.
But this looks like it will not be over soon and I should probably continue to work as long as possible.
This whole thing stinks.

If you have lung issues, I'd be staying your ass at home.

IMO, the president and governors should come out and say bluntly that in two weeks, they will reassess the situation.  Make no promises one way or the other, but tell people that they will decide to extend based on the situation then.

Of course, people would read into that what they wanted to hear instead of what was actually said, but stupidity can't be helped.

China is calling for the trade in wild animals to be strictly prohibited. Peak irony... we've achieved it.

    • Well bois, we gave the Devils their due! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... The jersey boys have been trying to jack our steeze for a few years now. They've followed our blueprints and studied our tape. Every offseason, they pounce on our sloppy seconds in a Newark minute. Quick with the puck, ferocious on the forecheck and stifling team defense. Down to the colors, this is this closest we'll come to having to play ourselves in Ole Stanley's Hockey Hoedown. As the postseason began, Rod stood flexing in the gym mirror and saw this guy staring back from the void... (Shutters) When beating us at our game didn't work, Timo and the Tri-State Trash tried to tango instead. Outside of a bitchass cheapshot on Freddie, that poo didn't work either. Their goon squad was getting wrecked by our bantam weights. As much as we all wanted to see Svechy or Staal Bunyan literally break someone in half after the Great Dane went down, they didnt need to. Our munchkins were monsters! Jarvis obliterating giants at the blue line, Logan laying the Stank on dudes twice his size and Blakers blasting Timo into next season. It was beautiful to see! (Side note: Does JBlo wear lead weights under his pads? 170lbs shouldn't be able to hit that hard!) We closed it out in 5, for the gentleman's sweep. Only team in the league to win a series in each of the past 7(?) seasons! And, this was supposed to be a rebuilding year... Onto the awards: Key To The Series : 6 for 19 - .316% IT FINALLY WORKED!!! MVP : 16/180 g/s - .911 save% - 2.53 gaa Seriously, without this dude, we would've won in 3! (Trust me bro) 3rd Star : 6/94 g/s - .936 save % - 1.59 gaa The Great Dane   2nd Star : 3 g - 5 a - +1 - 20:38 toi/g - 18 hits - 3 bs - 58.1% fo 3 PP goals and the 2OT series winning goal! WOOAAAHHH NELLY!!!!   And, your 1st Star of the series : 5 g - 1 a - +3 - 16:48 toi/g - 16 hits - 1 bs - 1 tk - 50% fo Zero, I repeat, zero penalty minutes for the series! MISSSTAAAHHH SVEEECHNIKOOOV!!!!!! Onto The Next: Now, we wait for the Habs to make it a nasty 7 game slog, while we recuperate. And, hopefully, get Nikishin, and some of the other black aces some real peactice time. We are gonna need those guys at some point. Because, if you think the Devils were dirty, hoooo boy, wait till you see what's next...
    • I don’t watch college football anymore (used to be Stanford STH but meh), but my wife is Hawaiian and her favorite color is purple, so I guess I knew Tet was my new favorite player to root for when he came out in a purple suit and lei and threw up the Shaka.
    • AJ Green is who I think of as well; the body control, fluidity of movement, hands catcher, always high pointing the ball with the occasional insane/acrobatic type of grab, etc
