Dr Oz, appearing on Fox News, just said schools should reopen because only 2-3% of children will die. I am not ok with my children being in that 2-3%. Are you?

Repubs party of pro life is the biggest fraud and misconception out there.

Die or get sick?  Cause that’s insane if he said that.

I can’t stand Oz and fox, but that’s not what he said. He said reopening schools would increase the overall death rate by 2-3%. The data is clear, the risk of death in people under 20 is almost zero.

That guy on twitter who made that claim about oz is a tool.

Mortality rate. Death. Republicans and conservatives have been talking crazy and saying all sorts of idiotic poo. They are a death cult and worship their bank accounts and not God.

Has Dr. Oz ever been right about anything? 2-3% mortality rate for children is wildly inaccurate. It's way lower than that. The reason why schools are closed is because children are so likely to be asymptomatic carriers so the disease is much harder to identify and track within that population segment.

Dr. Oz is a snake oil salesman idiot.

He said “2 to 3% in terms of total mortality.” Total, not 2-3% of kids.

Is the mortality rate even that high among the elderly?

I honestly have no idea what he's basing those figures on. It's really difficult to put a numeric figure on how many people would be infected by a population that has over an 80% asymptomatic rate from a highly infectious virus.

Does he offer up stats on the teachers, administrators, counselors, nurses, janitorial staff, and bus drivers who will be in close contact with these little super-spreaders?

I’m sure he has an açaí berry bill or a special colon detox plan to help. :)

I didn't see the clip, but could he mean 2-3% more people overall die?

Lets say 40,000 people in the country die with schools being closed, opening schools increases that by 2%, which is 800.  So now 40800 people die, doesn't necessarily mean 800 more kids.

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
