Young rotational guy, ready to be a starter. I mean are we flipping out about $6 million for a DE?  Should better this year, plus more snap counts. Throw him on a defensive line with Short, Burns, and hopefully Brown (draft) and we have what could be a solid defensive line...

This looks to be who’ll be starting opposite Burns. Will need to delve into the tape but adding a low risk, high reward edge rusher given the weakness of the draft class makes a ton of sense.

Nice pickup for the Panthers. Weatherly always flashed but was stuck behind Everson Griffen and Danielle Hunter in Minnesota. Low risk, potentially high reward signing as he gets a crack at a full-time role.

Lol, exactly. Just because Addison was a late bloomer doesn’t mean this guy will be. We are paying him like Addison after he got good. Addison was paid $4M over his first four years and had 24.5 sacks. This guy got almost what we paid Addison after 24.5 sacks but he has 6 sacks in 4 years.

Oh well, this is a decent enough contract that it likely nixes one of our medium FA losses. Not Bradberry, we’ll as long as Marty doesn’t do more damage and give out money like candy.

Looks like the Panthers have added another defensive end/OLB type player with some potential for versatility. Matches up physically with some of the pass rushers they already have

And Addison had 24.5 sacks in 4 years with us before we gave him this type of money.

We aren't paying him for 6 sacks, we're paying him for the 24.5 he's gonna produce in the future
