Some of you are underrating Bridgewater.  He's not going to be Mahomes, but I think he can throw better deep than some of ya'll are giving him credit for.  The Saints, even with Brees, had trouble throwing deep last year.  They didn't have the WRs for it and Payton's scheme in general is dependent on slicing up teams underneath.

Bridgewater showed he can be productive in that scheme, a scheme similar to what he will be operating with this year.  Will he be great, probably not.  But he can be productive, he's proven that.  He can get the ball in his weapons hands and allow them to make plays.  That is what Payton and Brady's system is all about, and it is why we are surrounding him with players who can make plays with the ball in their hands.

He throws almost as many interceptions as he does touchdowns,..

he’s worst than Jameis Winston because at least Jameis has big time plays at times,.. Teddy checks down and still throws the ball to the other team.

Really? I like Minnesota and watch their games. Teddy sucked,.. really really sucked.

Case Keenum replaced him and threw a lot more touchdowns and a lot less interceptions and took them to the playoffs including the Minnesota Miracle...

what did Teddy do again?

as far as creating a post, far too many have post creation privileges that need to be revoked.

Wasn't he basically 5-0 with Brees out with 9 tds and 2 ints. I don't count that one loss because he came off the bench and saints were down after he went out. Maybe u should look at stats before u speak?

It's just sad, depressed, sour-grapes-eating Cam Homers. Get used to it. They will be trolling all season long.

I have, but you’re only looking at the stat sheet.

How about PFF ratings? Those are subjective. DJ Moore had a season rating of 82 to Samuel's 63. How about PFR's AV ratings? Moore with an 8 rating to Samuel's 5. How about Football Outsiders DVOA ratings? Moore ranked 37th to Samuel's 71st?

How do those strike you? Hell, we don't really need those stats....did you actually watch games?

I am hoping all the offensive moves equals to an exciting offense that can put up some points in Brady’s system. No more letting off the gas up 10 in the third quarter.

A good offense helps a bad defense. If we can score enough points it can force a team to be one dimensional.

The title of this thread doesn't do it justice.

Too many folks sleeping on Robby as our WR1. After Amari Cooper, Anderson was the top WR available in FA. Say what you want about a one-trick pony or Teddy not being able to get the ball vertical.... Anderson is the best WR we have had on this team since Smitty. He, DJ & CMC are going to torch some defenses.

Agree. I thought that When philly cut al of their WRs and didn’t get cooper, that Anderson was a lock to go there. Very surprised that we got him.  Will be very hard to account for Anderson over the top, Moore, Samuel, and Thomas at different levels in the middle, and ... oh yea CMC out of the backfield. If Little, Daly, or Larsen can play guard, then we might have something here.

    • Well, the whole rationale used  for the high IQ point guard is it would allow us to spend our resources elsewhere….instead it’s all our first rounders ever since to support the bad pick.  Reality is our front office is just bad.  If you wanted Bryce Young you were going to need to do something unique and special for him.  Instead we just insert a QB with traditional tools into old NFL concepts that pair with traditional talent and our pass game is whack
    • Good to see some other folks are speaking the same language on this. It's simple common sense. But it seems like there's a disconnect due to the misplaced value the team has put on Thielen because he was the only vaguely good veteran WR willing to sign with the Panthers after we traded away DJ Moore. That time has come and gone. We have two first round WR's on the roster now.
    • Yeah I’m turning this into a Bryce can’t play QB thread. Just stating that offense was a poo show two years ago. No QB is succeeding in that, much less a rookie. I feel like it’s become a common debate strategy on here to just jump down the rabbit hole of saying he is just bad in so many ways when any certain point gets countered. If that doesn’t work we can deflect to how poorly this team has been ran. In regards to the actual point we are debating, the OL was struggling, half of the skill players aren’t on a roster, Mingo has done nothing with his new team and the staff are either not coaching or on their 3rd team in 3 years, aside from McCown (I liked McCown too). Honestly about as bad as it gets. No need to try to state how good of an offense it was billed it because that has been proven false at this point.
