He's certainly a great prospect, that's for sure.

But that Clemson defense would've certainly been a lot better than just average without him. They're loaded to the gills with four and five star recruits. They had the #3 scoring defense in the NCAA, #5 in yards. That wasn't due to just one guy.

Man...I know Clemson.  Future players will be great.  Current last year...young.  Simmons is different.  Without him they would have been very average.

A top 5 defense goes to middle of that pack due to losing one player? LOL! No.

He's a great prospect But he wasn't the difference between Clemson being ranked top 5 in D and Clemson being ranked in the 50s or 60s. That's absurd.

Brown, Wills, Wirfs, Okudah, Simmons

I want one of those guys and honestly, that's probably my order. But I don't even think we're going to look at OTs at #7 and I think that's a mistake. Okung is 31, coming off of a injury plagued season, and is in the last year of his contract. Moton is also in the last year of his contract. A lot of talk hinting at Little moving inside to OG.

With our lack of depth at DL you have to go DL.  A great DL can make linebackers and corners look good, not vice versa.  Clemsons DL is extremely well coached (and talented), and it made Simmons job a lot easier.  Put him behind our DL right now and it’s a waste

    • D Carr must have really disliked the saints to wait and do this announcement after the draft has passed if he made this call a few weeks before the draft sure they would have approached it and the offseason differently.  oh well will be interesting to see how their qbs perform.  would love to see them roll with Thill and just make the whole offense towards his skillset.  Although sadly would be only playing in about half the games with how often he gets injured.
    • I have to say it's quite fascinating seeing you pivot from months and months of wailing and agonizing about threads derailing into Bryce Young slingfests only for you to turn around and do the same thing. And just for the record. Nobody in life ever attained wisdom and clarity from mistakes by having people blindly fawn over them and tell them they are above reproach and incapable of making mistakes. Our front office is just as human as we are. And based on the fact that front offices across the league outside of a handful of teams change on a fairly regular basis it's safe to say they are certainly no more infallible than the average Joe even though they possess significantly more knowledge usually. If you want a utopia where all you do is shine shoes for anyone associated with the Panthers you go right on ahead and create yourself a new community sir. More power to you.
    • I trust Morgan when it comes to LBs so I think Wallace will do well.
