Kind of where I'm falling on this.  If he continues to be the 1000/1000 type guy and receiving while staying healthy, no problem with this deal.  If he's "just" a RB, we're going to regret it.

He is not going to be a 1000/1000 guy for the next 6 years.  He is due for an injury and the way we fed him the ball this past season just bit us in the ass.  No running back ever plays up to their second deal.  Godalmighty hurney never learns

Well I'm all for it, he was the entire offense last year, they switched from Cam or nothing to CMC or nothing.

Well, let's see the structure and guaranteed money. But, it's a Hurney contract so I'm definitely concerned.

I just think re-signing him right now wasn't smart. He's still under contract and you never want to get stuck paying a guy coming off of a historic season.

Hopefully Samir Suleiman gave him a good structure to follow.

That's just it....hes' not "just a RB". This kid was our offense last year during a down year for the team. He's going to be even more of a match-up nightmare in this new offense.

It doesnt matter what he does, was already under contract for the next 2 years.  We had the leverage and we totally squandered the benefit to us under the CB agreement.

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
